That's an interesting way of getting your slow-mo effect.
Another way, which I think is simpler, is to use the video effect "Reframe RT" ... Just place it on the timeline of your movie and adjust it to the segment that you want to slow (or speed).
@jmackenz51au That works, but doesn't provide any extra temporal resolution. The method explained in the video gives you double the temporal resolution at the cost of vertical spacial resolution.
