@marcusFOREVER - it was written and sung by John Sullivan who wrote the show. The original theme on series 1 was a piano tune with no words. John Sullivan wasn't happy and wrote the song and recorded it to a piano tune by Ronnie Hazlehurst. Chas & Dave did the theme song 'Margate' for the Jolly Boys outing special.
