  • lonely tank

  • @res0408 i lived here in the philippines does the weather of my country suitable for my turtle? philippines is a very tropical country!! ... it's pretty hotter here... i just keep my tank in my room where the temperature is around 40'f .... but still hotter.. is it ok?

  • @res0408 do baby RES sleeps all day? i'm worried about my turtle.. he sleeps all day.. i have to wake her up in-order to feed her.. but she still eats.. is it noemal? or maybe it's because of my 40+ f room temperature? pretty cooler temperature for my turtle isn't it?

  • Since he's still a baby its probably easier to monitor how much food he's eating and if he's going to the bathroom alright without any gravel or much decor. Thats what I did for my baby gecko.

  • i want one 2 i need it

  • Why don't you put some sand in the tank with a few plants for the turtle to climb in and even nibble at. It's a very boring tank!

  • how did you get him to follow the straw??!!

  • the tank looks so good even no it a 10 gallon one

  • Nice setup.

  • its very cute!!! similar to mine except i dont hav the cute plants and cool basking dock

  • get him a freind!!

  • @Jnick911 turtle's dont need a other turtle but i got fishes with my turtle ! :)

  • Poor turtle..:( he could use a friend, and buy another dock, he couldn even go on it,:( Just a tip.!:)

  • u have nothing

  • How old is he/she??

  • more vids!!!!!!

  • It's so cute!

  • hey how does it uhh....get on the basking dock now?? Isn't it too heavy???

  • love the tank /turtle but youre turtle is lonely well im sayinq if you have money you should get aanother turtle

  • cute turtle !!lol

  • very nice

  • I think its so cute with the straw :)

  • how big do they grow???

  • @fingersk8dan this is a red ear slider males get like 5-6 inches and females about 12 inches these are the turtles you see at ponds in the wild

  • @knifeguru350 cool ! :) thanks

  • Just a few more plants and some medium rocks and you will have one happy turtle. Love the dock :)

  • SNOOOOOOOOOOZE make the tank more interesting

  • right kno i have a heater hidden to where they cant get to it im trying to get a new one but dont kno what type to get

  • would you recomend the heater you have for turtles because my turtles like to try to eat things and i need a heater that they wont shatter

  • I have the same one, I would definately recommend it. =D!

  • dont get anything smaller than the turtles head just to be safe, they might try to swallow it, a bare bottom is ok the turtle is in paradise :)

  • y?....

  • dude, u need gravel and decorations... the turtle will get bored... and maybe get a neon tetra for it to eat once every 2 months... :P

  • I put a goldfish in there sometimes but he doesnt eat it

  • @res0408 because its to big..

  • @res0408 Goldfish are extremely bad for turtles; they're much too oily and fatty.

  • @res0408 jajaja igual las mias no querian comer pecez podian convivir juntos.. lo que hice fue agarrar al pez por la cola y poonerselo para que se lo comieran..

  • they eat the gravel

  • @aPyromaniac96 Really? It needs Gravel cause its gonna get bored!? Obviously thats not what you mean but come on! All the Turtle needs is a place to swim and land to be dry when he wants to be!

  • @aPyromaniac96 hey genius its a proven fact the turtles will EAT the gravel, so its a good thing he didnt put it in.

  • were ya get the dock frome

  • the dock was made by Tetra but it was discontinued

  • Tetra??

  • @res0408 why was it discontinued :O I WANT ONE NOOOOOW

  • were did you get that basking dock? do they make it big enough for a 75 gallon tank?

  • what size tank is that? i like it. i think he could use a turtle friend. if they were both that size its not to bad. might need a bigger basking spot though. im about to get three turtles next month...

  • 10 gallons

  • thanks. thats what i have set up right now for my three turtles im getting. Theyre probably that size or smaller.

  • @res0408 my 10 gallon look smaller

  • nice tank,cool turtle,and nice quality! =]

  • a buddy would be nice but the tank is too small. turtles are solitary animals. they come together only to mate. even newborns are on their own after they hatch.

  • its a really nice tank setup.. looks sparkling clean!

nd for every one debating about lighting, the need alight for uvb that gives natrual vitiams ect and a basking spot for ntrual sun light that gives wamth for them to 'bas' in without these things the shells can cave in fromthe lack of vitimins ect.

    but im loving the tank

i think he needs a little buddy with him ;)

  • you tank is great and your turtle is beatiful... you should get him or her a budy

  • TD..... WHOS ( it )

  • put some more plants in it :) it will like it much more

  • Hey sajeevan1 that is a Red eared slider a very common turtle i have two ^^

  • i have 2 also

  • thats only 10 gallons?? i thought it was like 70 untill i saw the little straw that must be a very tiny turtle

  • i no what you mean man i want a turtle that will stay in a 10 gallon tank my 20 gallon tank is occupied with 4 year old gold fish so i won,t have a 20 gallon tank for a long time

  • do you only need a basking light because alot of differnt people said that you need a normal light bulb and a basking buld

  • a normal bulb is required for heat because a UVB basking bulb is fluorescent and doesnt emit enough heat

  • Tetra Basking Buoy. discontinued product. try Ebay or craigslist

  • I just got a hatchling baby painted turtle do you know how much water they need? I know they need about the same amount as a res i've been wanting a res for a long time lol but got one of these as a gift

  • you should get him a friend
