@ImSoAlpha as for the palm shock I have never had that problem. The palm on my glove is fairly thin and The guys I play with throw pretty hard to first but I always make sure I catch the ball in the pocket and get that nice 'pop' everytime. What position do you play? Its pretty common for the infielders to catch with their palm to get control over the ball and make a quick delivery. If its bugging You, you should catch the ball more on the web of your glove.
@ImSoAlpha sure no prob! One thing you're gonna see with higher end gloves is that they have little to no padding on the palm, unless its a catchers mitt. The one I have is a FB mitt. It has little padding on the palm but it feels really sturdy non the less. You really have to dedicate a lot of time to the "break-in" process of these gloves. when I first got mine it felt like stone, It took a few weeks of playtime before I could close it with ease.

compared to this glove how good is the mizuno gcp60xx i have this glove and its a great glove and all but it seems really thick but then you catch a hard thrown ball and it gives your whole hand a shock
