It's called Stop Motion. It's not that hard but like reptilestongue said, it takes patients.. Look at some of my videos.

Me and my friend had to do that. It's pretty easy, on my camera there is a 10 second timer so we would just set a small marker like a rock or something so we remembered where we were. Then we would movie it forward and set 10 second timer, run back and sit on the rock. Or he might have had someone else take the pictures. It doesn't look like it though because i don't see anyone in the reflection... I just see the sony on the TV. XD

since there isn't a reflection of someone in the glass behind you, you must have been recording (explains how you got the cats - impossible to get them to repeat a movement if messed up) then you cut the frames of the recording and put them together. FAKE!
