A helicopter won't take fall (crash) damage while you have a team mate with you though it will if your're on your own. This means that if someone can't drive a chopper than team mates won't suffer as much.
heres a tip for people who like stationary machine guns but hate snipers if your getting shot at aim it up in the air and the whole gun actually acts as a sheild
regarding the heli repair, you can repair the heli from inside provided your speed is below a certain amount (about 10 - nearly stationary), you cannot repair while cruising etc.

But on PC i have killed an apache + pilot sitting there waiting for a gunner and i came up from behind and just stood with repair tool.. takes a LOOOONG time, then boom. same with driven vehicles. They take damage the same rate as repaired.. good when your out of ammo.. like in port valdez..

The heli from before didn't take any damage when the server was empty. Why would it take damage with the repair tool? You should retest the heli stuff in a server with enough people.
Helicopters dont take any damage if it has 2 or more people in it. Thats why it wasnt taking damage on the "You can repair the black-hawk while sitting in it" myth.

You actually can destroy vehicles with the repair tool, they just have to be enemys, probably why it didn't take damage is because its the too few players where the vehicle wouldn't take any damage.
@Xpr3ach3dX depends on the gun and the barrier.. M60 has far more penetration than a submachien gun for example. A sub machien gun will penetrate wooden fences but not metal barriers or brick/stone.
A M95 however will penetrate walls. many the time some nub has accused me of wall hacking because Ive takena a pot shot at a predictable corner of a building where EVERYone camps a the top of the stairs lol.

on hardcore if you try to repair your own chopper while not on the ground you will kill it, same with the uva if its not touching the ground it will take damage.
i kill enemy vehicles (yes choppers too) with the repair tool all the time. its a great trick if you are out of rockets and can get right up to it. it only works if an enemy is in the vehicle if no one is in it, it just repairs it.
Here's anotherone: you can "Beam Up" into second floor by entering stationary turrets from the ground level. You can also enter guns through walls and obstacles from the right angle.
Got 1 for ya: if you land the uav on top of a black hawk's propellers it will blow up the black hawk when it its taking off ( do it to my friend all the time and it says he commited suicideXD)
i know another one: You can drive with an ATV Through a tank if you do it between the catterpillars, without any damage, and you will damage the tank..
you can also break windows and fences with the defibs and r-tool btw

and its possible to repair heloes while they're flying, it just takes me a while to find the right spot to 'shoot' with the repair tool b/c that spot seems to always change
i know its not a myth, but can you do one where you can get stuck in the window frames? it happened to me twice; the glass is broken but not the wood around it, and ive been stuck in that area
@xkbangbang You can only repair a heli when the pilot is not touching the controls eg, freefalling. My friend and I tested it on a full Rush game and every time we needed to repair he flew way up and then fell while I repaired then he carried on flying normally.
the repairing the blackhawk is bs. i do it all the time and it just depletes its health.. and the objects.. block the way... also the enemy heli.. i destroyed some with a repair tool.
The reason the black hawk took no damage when you crashed into stuff was because there was 2 people inside it. When you fly alone, it can be damaged by the environment.

As I once worked with the red dot sight on the M95, and have tried and got shot at a great distance I could kill someone.
And I have no further targeted to the top.
Certainly can outside also have been an objection in the game, but I think it would be worthwhile to investigate this case.

Not sure if it was intentional that you specified damage to the heli with a repair gun, but you definitely can un-repair the tanks with it.

i know another one: You can drive with an ATV Through a tank if you do it between the catterpillars, without any damage, and you will damage the tank..

you can also break windows and fences with the defibs and r-tool btw
my personal favorite was teh atv
and its possible to repair heloes while they're flying, it just takes me a while to find the right spot to 'shoot' with the repair tool b/c that spot seems to always change
i know its not a myth, but can you do one where you can get stuck in the window frames? it happened to me twice; the glass is broken but not the wood around it, and ive been stuck in that area

It is possible to repair the blackhawk or the Mi chopper from inside. BUT ONLY if chopper is about the spawn base.

@GCyrax It is possible to do it anywhere, the pilot just has to keep it level and at a low speed.

@xkbangbang You can only repair a heli when the pilot is not touching the controls eg, freefalling. My friend and I tested it on a full Rush game and every time we needed to repair he flew way up and then fell while I repaired then he carried on flying normally.

myth 4 is true .you have done it wrong the tank is ment to be flat on the floor or if thats two hard for you make some pottholes in the ground first

the repairing the blackhawk is bs. i do it all the time and it just depletes its health.. and the objects.. block the way... also the enemy heli.. i destroyed some with a repair tool.

The reason the black hawk took no damage when you crashed into stuff was because there was 2 people inside it. When you fly alone, it can be damaged by the environment.

dooode the less bullet damage through an object one needs a redo YOU CLEARLY MISSED ive gotten a one shot kill to the head through a wooden house in valapriaso with the 45. cal pistol
