Vietnamese actually sounds more like Thai. I know some Vietnamese and I can say that I have often mistaken Thai people for Vietnamese until I realise I don't understand a word they're saying. Korean sounds nothing like Thai or Vietnamese. If you had to say it sounded like anything, then I would say Japanese.

Vietnam appreciates the Korean culture. Just look at the crowd here compared to N. Korea's crowd when baby VOX or Shinwa performed and tell me who loves them more?

I've been to Vietnam many times and it's not like a big concentration camp where human rights are broken everyday. Who ever is in charge of Vietnam is doing a pretty good job at changing the way people think about communist countries. I do wish Vietnam the best and hopefully communism will end there peacefully.

When I went over last year, I could not find any of that stuff that was legit. Maybe it was because I was looking in the wrong place but be sure what you buy is authentic.

Well, I don't know the exact place cuz I dunno the name of the street (can't write viet)Um.. All I can tell you is that it was in the heart of Saigon. I saw some pictures and CD's where they sell dramas and stuff like that. I think they were fakes though. Basically ask people where to buy DVD's and dramas and they'll probably have that stuff there too. I have never seen real stuff or a proper store to buy CD's and things though.

It's the communist flag because that's the official flag of Vietnam ever since North Vietnam took over South Vietnam. Since Vietnam is being ruled by the communist they have to use the flag. The only time that the original Vietnam flag can be shown (the yellow with three red stripes) would be mostly during protests and freedom speeches that Vietnamese people who live in Cali do.
