I personally play my "bass solo" under a guitar or keyboard solo.

Just gives it more character.

Sounds quite tense when "even the bass" is flippin out but still remaining in his chords during a solo ;)

Yeah but in jazz it quite an accepted rule that one playing rhythm would either never get into the soloist space or stfu (I mean be completely silent with his instrument)

I just love that solo, but in trying to learn it I can't pick up the fast bits. I hear the blues scales, but I can't follow it all. Help is required.! Anyone?
