nothing in the main games, nothing in the main anime, nothing in the movies evoked any true powerful emotion. maybe an occasional thrill of battle, but rarely anything beyond that. in PMD, you experience every emotion the hero and partner do. that's why by the end of the game...in a way you sorta become alittle like them, and the point they part is so...sad. it ends up sad only because you emotionally connect as you play through the game. the main games can't invoke that bond. tis why PMD rules.

I burst into tears when I first finished Red Rescue team, but not at the end of Explorers of Time my first play through because I knew that I'd come back, but I did start choking up when my partner, a Piplup named Prince, started bawling after the flashbacks. Then Princess, my Pikachu, reappeared and Team Royal was ready to keep going! Now I play Sky and Artie (Riolu) was so sad about Claudia (Vulpix) that I almost cried, but I knew my Team Clartie would be reunited!
