  • 20 years ago my Dad used to frequent the cafe. And then the place ended up in the sea! I reckon in another 20 the pubs going to gone too :/

  • That is just a small part of it. We have had a caravan on site for the past 6 years and the rate of coastal erosion is amazing. This year has been particularly bad - it has gone about 8 metres over the past year.

  • Thanks for the reply. Yeah i'm having alot of trouble finding a suitable area, I didn't think it would be this hard haha. I hope to see some of the ground movements like in your video though, would be brilliant to study.

  • @ TheBeatlesRevolver1 - Sorry but the beach at Aldborough is not accessible! When I visited Alborough the tide was in so may be it would be accessible further down the coast but I would imagine it wouldn't be because the erosion would have caused a health and safety hazard to the public so the council would of probably decided to seal off the beach. Thank you for asking though! I appreciate that! You could probably try an area roughly a mile south of Aldborough.

  • Hi i'm about to do my geography dissertation at Albrough very soon based on coastal landslides. Could you tell me whether the beach was accessible? I tried a nearby town called Tunstall but I couldn't get access to the beach.
