What did you use to record your lesson on working in Power Point?

I would like to record parts of youtube videos or any internet videos and then comment on those parts for video responses or for making youtube videos.

set a time for slide to stay on screen

click Animation on the ribbon .........this will open another window

at the far left you will see a time add as many seconds as you want and the next slide will follow after the first

Everytime I launch powerpoint, instead of bring up the application. It brings up my "documents". Why does this happen?

The only reason I can think this doesn't work is because target of you shortcut. You will have to make a new one. This can be done by going to the install location of PowerPoint. That is likely to be something like C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office. The .exe file for PowerPoint will be found somewhere there. If you search for .exe files in that folder you should find it. Once you have right click it and go to send to. Then press desktop. That will create a new shortcut for you on the desktop.

actually there is a very fast free way to get powerpoint, not downloading a cracked version from the net, but a simple legal way very few people know about!

You can buy it at just about any store carrying software. You can also download a trial off of the internet. Just google it and you should be able to find it. However the version on the internet is probably Office 2007. That is a bit different but has the same basics.

i need help saving it onto a USB memory stick, and then opening it on a differnt computer, do u think u can help?

All you should have to do is open up you USB drive in "my computer". Then copy the file from its saved location and paste it onto your flash drive. Then when you put it into another computer you can open the file directly off of your USB drive. Or copy it to your desktop (or any other place) and double click to open it.

That will be a problem if you are moving it from one computer to the other. If you have office 2007 on one and office 2005 or less on your other computer you have to make sure you are saving to the same format (.ppt). Office 2007 saves in .pptx format. So that could be your problem but it is hard for me to tell.

You can download a trial of office 2007 at their web site. Just google it and you will find it right away. This program is not very cheap though. I am not sure if this is your problem though. I will try making a video for you but it may be awhile until i get that done.

To my knowledge you can not directly upload a power point to youtube. It is not a video. To make it a video you can use a screen record to record it then upload it.

Microsoft works does not have PowerPoint. It is only in Microsoft Office. Microsoft Works is like a striped down version of Office.
