Making certain rituals and practices a norm in each belief is part of religion. So when she calls herself a christian, all she is saying is that she goes to "church" and does all the norms and rituals of christianity, when in fact she has no personal relationship with the true God.

The bible says to keep the Passover, no mention of Easter or Christmas. Christians tend to keep Sunday as the day of rest, when in fact, Friday sundown to Saturday sundown is the 7th day. Also, there might be older, more descriptive scripture that most of the bible was created from. And Jesus might have been the "son" of God, but he wasn't God, he was a man.

@jwardmagic07 Eternal hell is disturbing. God loves us and wants us to be saved from hell. But because God is just and righteous, He cannot allow our sin to go unpunished. Someone has to pay for it. In His great mercy and love He sent His Son Jesus to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross for us. If we confess our sin, believe, and ask forgiveness, we are saved, forgiven, and promised an eternal life in heaven. But if we reject Him, we will face the consequences of that decision.

@jwardmagic07 You know, that's what really irritates me, and that's probably why people hate christians so much. It's our own fault for judging other people (if we followed what we believed, we'd know that's God's job), and making them feel like crap for not believing what we believe. I personally think that the christian religion could "reach" a lot more people if they stopped acting like assholes. How are christians speading God's love by acting that way. It's so stupid.

God doesn't MAKE you do anything you don't want to do, YOU CHOOSE where you want to go by having FAITH in God, or not. What would be smarter would be to send them to psychotherapy and get down to the root cause of their evil. A bad childhood? Violence as an infant? Not sending them to hell to suffer and burn for eternity. The one argument I hear from christians is that if you dont obey you will go to hell and burn for eternity. To me this prooves that they have been forced into this belief through fear of suffering.

Before Jesus, there was no such thing as Christianity. Those who believed in the one true God were Jews. Satan exists in the Muslim, Jewish, and Christian world. I used the Muslim, Jewish, and Christian religions as examples because they are the biggest religions in the world. Muslims and Jews believe Satan exists. Jews were here before Christianity existed.
