  • how many champions does this guy have? eddie bravo himself is a no gii champion. and he is abu dahbi champion. he defefeated royce's gracie's brother royler gracie. BJJ has trianed extensivley under bravo.

  • @fearthenightraids oops i mean BJ penn has trained extensivley under bravo.

  • HO BURBAN GUAR

  • "Eddie bravo said the gi is for faggots and he invented jui jitsu. Your response?"

"Well he sounds like an arrogant asshole."

I wonder why he sounds like an asshole being misquoted and misrepresented...

  • @Shonem eddie bravo never said gii was for faggits. jealous jealous jealous.

  • @fearthenightraids

I was making a sarcastic mocking statement at the interview.

  • Eddie called the twister a move from catch wrestling. He never claimed it as his.

  • check out the Gracie US national No-Gi results for 2012. Everyone needs to stop hating Eddie for no reason and realize that his system works, whether you like it or not. He's said millions of times he didn't invent 99% of what he teaches, he just names things and modifies transitions to suit his systemof bjj. No one in the BJJ community respects Eddie? Those guys are stuck in their ways, Vinny Magalhaes for example, he has used parts of Eddie's system and gives Eddie credit, he's an ADCC champ.

  • how many world champions...

  • @cfrancis BJ penn. he trained extensivley under eddie bravo. eddie himself is a world champion. he is abu dabi world champion when he defeated royce's gracie's brother royler gracie. and eddie is a no gii world champion.

  • This is strangely ill-informed. We're all commenting on it. 10th planet are innovators, I train myself and I watch a lot of stuff but Eddie's stuff is probably the most sophisticated. It's almost too sophisticated.

  • Comment removed

  • Gracie always wins.

  • All he did was give moves names that didn't have names before. He never claimed to have created the moves so wtf.

  • HOBER BAND GWARD!

  • Even Caio Terra said, " Eddie! If you buy my dvd ill let you change the names of the move's." hahaha Eddie is a business man not a jiu jitsu fighter. He's rolling in stupid peoples money right now. haha

  • could anyone provide a video that shows eddie bravo taking credit for inventing moves? Ive saw eddie give credit to the twister from an old wrestling move and not take credit. Everyone saying he claims he invented these moves yet I have yet to see him make that claim. He put names on transitions so his students could understand them better. ex: Zombie looks like your reaching out of the ground like a zombie, or Jiu Claw you got their hand in a claw position.

  • @Bossalinni13 He calims them as his own. he keeps saying its the next step in the evolution of jiu jitus which is his system. He changes the names of the moves and say that its his system. My only thing is is that why would he change the names and say its part of his new system if the moves he teaches have been there since Helio Gracie's time??? only with different names?

  • @alfonze6 Very true, I have noticed him refer to it as his system. But with all due respect my mma trainer uses his own system to teach us moves, Every trainer does. Even though the moves were evented years ago. But we use our own system to teach moves we have learned, it dont mean we invented the moves, Also in his system he use no gi techniques and he teached next cranks and ankle locks that are not allows in all tournys

  • @Bossalinni13 Exactly !! Eddie has NEVER taken credit for moves that he did not invent. He names his moves to break down the positions and moves within one over all move. An armbar isn't one move. It's a sequence of smaller moves. Eddie just defines those types of small moves.

  • @Howyamossy i dont think "crack head" control really defines anything

  • @Bossalinni13 amen brother!

  • @Bossalinni13

You are completely right... all these other guys really are just giving him a hard time for envious reasons. Comprido explicitly stated he is jealous of Eddie, and I am sorry, but that is the bottom line when people criticize Bravo and his 10th planet system... Jiu Jitsu is about adaptation, and that is all Eddie has done. Adapt a style for a guy his size. Eddie has never claimed to invent or create new moves just adapt the moves for himself...

  • Eddie Bravo is a cult leader for middle class, TUF noob teenagers and confused adults. Like every cult leader who dictates his false religion, he has had his fair share revealed frauds. He's also good at consolidating his flock against other people with that "haters" discourse.

  • @EunusRex THATS RIGHT! tell it to those fucking idiots!!!

  • Why won't people like this dude get it in their heads? 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu was made for compeition(s). Eddie Bravo NEVER just came out and tried to sh*t on Bjj/Gjj. Yet, their are countless Bjj guys trying to sh*t on him (like this dude) 10th Planet is more practical and coexists better w/ today's fighters. Whether professional, ameuter or fan

  • How many championships have Bravo's won? Zero..

  • Many american people are so stupid they can't accept any other people being better than them in a sport they love. JJ wasn't born in Brazil but it didn't born in Japan neither. It was born in India, went to China where, by the way, grew strong and then went to Japan. Bunch of ASSHOLES the BJJ seen today isn't the same as JJ seen in Japan that's the reason why it's known the way it is nowadays. Tipical american people, don't know anything about history nor culture before making their speech.

  • GO EDDIE!!!!!

  • EDDIE BRAVO RECHALLEnGED ROYLER AND ROYLER DENIED the end of stupid Brazilian reign over anything North American, other than your women which are all trying to come to us Gringos and our Beloved U.S.A.I will see your wife and sister soon when they come and visit this white boy

  • @imajorhavoc What u talking about?? Theres not even alot of brazilians in america. THeir the lowest population of south americans here in North america, So get your shit right stupid. And gringo is spanish they speak portugese. Dumbass... And ADCC wasnt willing to pay royler enough thats why he didnt fight.

  • JIU JITSU IS JAPANESE ORIGINALLY FROM CHINA......BRAZILIANS ARE DUMB

  • @imajorhavoc u are dumb, search for jiu jitsu here on youtube you will see a very different style of fighting. That jiu jitsu would never be so effective and famous if the ''dumb'' brazilians didn't improve that

  • @imajorhavoc And read a book about origins of BJJ before you blurt out shit stupid.

  • Eddie doesnt claim anything as his,he has made it easier to teach in the U.S.because of these scumbad BRAZILIANS who dont speak english LIKE THE GUY IN THIS VIDEO,a fuckin peice of shit 3rd world dooofis trying to manipulate the north american ideas of themselves.WHEN MORE U.S. BLACKBELTS OCCUR THESE #RD WORLD IDIOTS WILL GO HOME TO THEIR LAME COUNTRY

  • When Judo came from Japan, it was known as Kano Ryu Jujutsu. Mitsuyo Maeda introduced this style to the Gracies, who modified it, hence Gracie Jiu Jitsu. The Gracies said their spelling (Jiu Jitsu) was one interpretation how it would translate from Japanese writing. Renzo says Jujutsu and Jujjitsu are better translations.

  • Yeah Eddie trained in a gi for the majority of his life, But i thinkthis brazilian hater is missing the point of what Eddie is trying to do..10th planet isnt about the "SPORT" of Jiu jitsu. Its about making a system more friendly for MMA..Rather than pushing and pulling on lapels and sleeves, Eddie teaches a system around clinching and squeezing and controlling posture so you take minimum damage on the ground. The Gi isnt even native to Brazil.. its came from the same place Jiu jitsu did, JAPAN.

  • Fucking old traditional conservative douches. These guys are scared that the gi might eventually go away because mma and no-gi is becoming so popular. I have nothing against the gi but the ppl defending and their arguments are borderline retarded.

  • This guy has the I.Q of a frozen lump of beef... lol

  • gi in mma LOL cammon

  • Nobody wears a GI on the streets bud,.

  • @TylerH2055 No one wears boxing gloves on the street either.

  • @TylerH2055 coats, jackets, t-shirts all work bud.

  • Ya if eddie bravo wasn't legit people wouldn't train with him n he wouldn't have been invited 2 adcc

  • You guys are terrible. Eddie is not against the Gi. A lot of 10th planet fighters train Gi jiu jitsu. Eddie also doesn't claim anything is his that isn't. He has said openly many times that his move the twister is a wrestling move, but that move is named "the guillotine" which is already a move in jiu jitsu. So he gave it a new one. Get your facts straight, idiots.

  • this is just like saying the gracies stole bjj from japenese jujitsu and judo roots....its just a different style with a differnt system of moves......stop hating on eddie

  • bjj actually comes from Judo not jiujitsu. The guy that taught the Gracies, Count de Coma is a Kodokan Judo black belt and practitioner. Now Judo comes directly from jiujitsu.

  • Renato Laranje is 27 time Mundial champ. Renate would choke comprido's ass like it's nuthin. haha

  • And yet none of these guys gives credit any credit to the original system which is Judo.

Jujitsu is not Brazilian for christ's sake.

  • @MannyGrizzly1 then do tell me why is it called Brazilian Ji Jitsu if its not brazilian. Thats like saying italian dressing is not italian, or french fries are not french, come on !

  • Jujitsu is originally Japanese. It incorperated both armed and unarmed techniques (wrist/armlocks for example). Jigaro Kano saw the benefits of the grappling aspect of Jujitsu and perfected it into what soon became known as Judo.

Judo was intruduced to Brazil by Mitsuyo Maeda who taught it to the gracie family. Helio Gracie decided to ditch some of the techniques like throws and focused more on the Ne Waza (Ground aspect) of Judo.

  • So of course his ground game was amazing but he never invented anything new. What he did was that he created a system based on teaching only the ground game of Judo since he found it to be the most effective and neglected aspect of Judo and Martial Arts in general.

The gracies created new names for the techniques as well.

    Sankaku Jime = Triangle choke

    Ude Garame = Americana

    Juji Gatame = Armbar

Hadaka Jime = Rear naked choke

Hon gesa gatame = Scarft hold

    They're all japanese.

  • @themmanuts LOL! Awesome!

  • @themmanuts well all gracie did was take jj from china i think it was and at the time it was more efficient for bigger men and gracie turned into and switched it towards for smaller men if im not mistaken, its like what hendrix did with what robert johnson did with the guitar expanded it for more ways to play

  • Jujitsu is definatly not from China.

  • @MannyGrizzly1 actually my it was from japan and derived from judo

  • @themmanuts

    FYI

French fries if from BELGIUM not france

And italian dressing is just called that for MARKETING purposes the way italians make Dressing is competely different, in other words it is an AMERICAN dish just like how french fries is BELGIAN.

  • @goddammitization Sarcasm....

  • @themmanuts JiuJitsu comes from japan. Gracies took it and added and modified it and make it BJJ.

  • @themmanuts The Brazilians took something and renamed it and are trying to take credit for "inventing" it. That sounds familiar where have I heard that claim before, oh yeah this video. Jiu Jitsu is a Japanese word. Jiu Jitsu is a Japanese art, period. The Brazilians made great strides in one aspect of Jiu Jitsu and they are trying to claim it as their own creation. So to answer your question, Brazilians refer to Jiu Jitsu as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I just call it Jiu Jitsu.

  • @themmanuts it originated from Judo.

  • @themmanuts French fries AREN'T french you dumb fuck. They were given that name in America but it came from Belgium from the 1700's.

  • @themmanuts Because they call it that you moron, that's his point, jiujitsu is Japanese, and so is judo, Brazilian jiujitsu is just a variation of judo, thats why its called Brazilian Jiujitsu, they're full of shit.

  • @themmanuts Jiu Jitsu is Japanese. The Gracie family brought Jiu Jitsu to Brazil, in the process they changed a few of the techniques to make it a little more effective, so what most people practice is BJJ. But the art originates from Japan. Jiu Jitsu is a branch off from Judo. 3/4 of the submissions that you see in Jiu Jitsu have been around in Judo for 100's and 100's of years. Also; it is believed that French Fries originate from Belgium, just the french made them famous.

  • @woohay Judo actually came from Jiujitsu, not the other way around

  • @themmanuts Well if it was Brazilan Judo would it be from brazil??

  • @themmanuts all the principles of BJJ started out as principles of JJ which is japanese.

  • @themmanuts MannyGrizzly1 is referring to how BJJ is an evolution of JJJ/Judo. The same way every other Black Belt has a different "style" or game, eddie Uses a specific style of game that he has never claimed to invent... Eddie always says that his moves are takin from other places and used in his game wich is why its referred to as a SYSTEM.

  • @themmanuts Read up about the history of Brazilian jiu jitsu first before you say shit you think you know a thing or two about. You just sound stupid.

  • @themmanuts french fries aren't french.

  • (BJJ) is a martial art, combat sport, and a self defense system that focuses on grappling and especially ground fighting. The art was derived from the Japanese martial art of Kodokan judo (which itself is derived from Japanese Jiu Jitsu; the name Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an homage to this origin) in the early 20th century.

  • @themmanuts

    "French fries" are actually Belgian.

  • @themmanuts notsureifsrs.jpg

  • @MannyGrizzly1 Srsly, have u watched judo tournaments? Have u trained judo? Judo guys know some ground moves, but they are so far from BJJ guys, it's not even funny. I trained both judo and bjj, and I can say they got really good takedowns, but their ground game is very basic. Now that bjj is getting popular, judokas r incorporating some moves and doing more fancy ground stuff in tournaments, but 10 years ago, you watched some high level tournaments and they only knew a few super basic chokes.

  • Can't deny history you know. I train in both Judo and BJJ too.

The triangle is not a bjj move. It dates back to the samurai.

I give props to the Gracies for developing the techniques but they sure as hell didn't invent them.

    Look up Kosen Judo.

  • @MannyGrizzly1 Yes, u are right. Kosen Judo is similar to BJJ, from what I googled, but there is no reason for the Gracies to make up things. They don't claim they invented jj. They say they took japanese jj from Maeda and modified it and called it gracie jj. Wikipedia says jj is a japanese art with indian roots that later gave birth to a modified, more stand up art called judo. So, even if judo and Kosen Judo have some similarities with BJJ, we can say that japanese JJ is the main root.

  • @MannyGrizzly1 To make an analogy, Japanese JJ would be the father, and Judo and BJJ 2 sons. Judo would be the older and BJJ the younger son. The way you were putting it, you were considering Judo to be BJJ's father. BTW, thank you for showing me Kosen Judo. Never heard about it. Very interesting.

  • @chrisonicyt

    You're welcome bro!

  • @MannyGrizzly1 clearly you dont have a clue on how BJJ and the UFC were created...so go learn something

  • Of course I do. I don't talk about things I don't know about. Rorion Gracie created the UFC in 93 to establish Gracie Jiujitsu as the msot effective martial arts.

And I know all about Maeda Koma, Carlos Gracie and Helios fight with Masahiko Kimura.

Why whould you say that I don't know that...

  • @MannyGrizzly1 Judo isn't the original. Judo came around in the 20th century. Google it.

  • @MannyGrizzly1 Judo is a whole different game. Mitsuyo Maeda took all the submissions from Judo and made it its own. Then he went to Brazil to teach it to the Gracie Brothers (Helio and Carlos Gracie Sr.) But The Gracie brothers were smaller and skinnier so they started to adapt and change moves and make it their own until it evolved to its own sport. So BJJ, Ju Jitsu, and judo are three very different sports. That's why they don't mention Judo or ju jitsu in Bjj all the time.

  • @MannyGrizzly1 Your point is correct but your terms are incorrect. Judo is the sport version of Jujutsu which emphasizes takedowns, BJJ focuses on the ground aspect.

  • @MannyGrizzly1 there is defently a difference between bjj and traditional jujitsu i dont think that the brazilian are forgetting that jujitsu came to them from the east but we have to admit and realize the twist that the brazilian have given to it and it shows when u watch matches brazil vs japan brazil brought a lot to the us and jujitsu is now famous worldwide ,u have to agree .ossss i love bjj thanx 2 the gracies n followers who made it what it is 2day

  • @ballistikarena I'm not saying the gracies didn't do a lot for bjj because they did, but there are also many other styles of bjj that work just as effectively and many other people have brought different techniques, transitions, etc to the game as well, wrestling translates very well to bjj as well they already have a lot of the movement

  • @MannyGrizzly1 do you think judo was created out of thin air? judo also had an original system and that had an originial system, and that, and that, and that had an original system. names are irrelevant. no where in the world, besides brazil, have ground fighting techniques been refined and created to such an extent.

by the way, ever hear of mitsuyo maeda? the guy the Gracies thank for teaching them?

  • @MannyGrizzly1 A lot of JuiJitsu players in Brazil also practice Judo.

Judo and JiuJitsu are both very popular in Brazil. I agree, JiuJitsu is not Brazilian. The martial art doesn't belong to any race or group of people.

  • Eddie IS right. NOGI is the way to train if you are doing MMA. You don't use a fucking Gi in MMA ....No sleeves/collars to hold and grip....Most people who do MMA don't train the Gi...Comprido is just hating!!! Much Respect to Comprido ..he's accomplished a lot...Much Respect.....and Eddie isn't Claiming shit...everyone is putting words in his mouth! Eddie doesn't knock on anyone like Comprido is doing here! Look at all the Dislikes....Majority agree...Comprido is just being a CUNT!!!

  • Comment removed

  • How many videos does this guy have where he's talking about Eddie? The only impression he's leaving on me is that he's a jealous douchebag.

  • hey man don't knock the hubber band guard

  • DENNY PROKOPOS IS A 10TH PLANET WORLD NOGI CHAMPION :O

  • @OPERATIONSOFMW2 he won at brown belt, 10th planet has never had a black belt world champion and they have 29 schools.....

  • Whoever shot this video needs to check the bubble level on their head/tripod before they shoot again.

  • comprido sounds like a hater to me

  • @sirwilliamhowell why would comprido be a hater? he has accomplished way more in bjj than eddie bravo ever has on the competition scene, not to mention he would destroy eddie. Just eddie's nut huggin fans got butt hurt when comprido called eddie an idiot for marketing weed with jiu jitsu.

  • @sirwilliamhowell Almost every one in the jiu jitsu world says that. Cause it's true. After his fluke win against Royler, Leo Vieira Smashed him and made him look like a white belt. So yea Eddie Bravo dose NOT! have a chance against any big name in the BJJ world. And thats why not alot of Big BJJ teams or fighters respect him or his "system". And if you think he dose please tell me who he has beaten after Royler or even before Royler. Ill wait :D

  • @alfonze6 ok sure he hasnt beaten tons of big names. but his tenth planet jiu jitsu has given alot of mma fighters success such as ufc lightweight contender george sotouropolis and shinya aioki. tenth planet has proven to be legit. and anyone who knocks down what eddie has done is clearly just hating.. like this brazilian for example

  • @alfonze6 Fluke? He wrecked Royler, and now Royler is afraid to rematch Eddie because he knows he'd get spanked again. And if you think that Royler was just some random back then you are greatly mistaken. Royler was considered a god back then. And just because Leo thrashed Eddie, doesn't mean that Eddie is garbage... It simply means that Leo was better than himat the time. And who knows, maybe Eddie was in shock from beating Royler? Regardless, your comment was close minded and dumb.

  • "Hober ban guard" - Tony Montana

  • @thebuzzcjc Comedy!!!!!!!

  • saw eddies guy at this year worlds they come in like a gang and dont win shit they have the worse game. caio terra called eddie out. eddie bravo

    is a disgrace

  • lol at dude on the rights little laptop hahahahaha

  • Diz guy is a hater lol

  • why do bjj guys always have on the gi do u shit with the gi too.Fuck u comprido u suck cock like renato laranja cocksucka big dicks in your ass are bad for your health bitch joe hogan what up my nigga spark up that izzizm

  • @crazyrussianbastard1 im sure you a great youtube warrior

  • @crazyrussianbastard1 Wow, you are a retard! Nuff said.

  • @WalkerKumdo nigga im a black belt i would fuck u up quick and do me a solid tell your mom and your sister to stop comin by my crib so early shit man i dont rise till noon.Tell them hoes cause they bother me

  • @crazyrussianbastard1 You're crazy russian bastard that's for sure. How many markers did it take to color your white belt black? LOL...retard!

  • @WalkerKumdo are u talkin about the markers i fuck your mom with

  • he is jealous!

  • the guy comes to an interview in his pyjamas? rude.

  • one would think some one with his credentials are not that delusional

  • Many many lifetimes later, it started being practiced in Japan. Then more lifetime's later, it made it's way to the Gracie family in Brazil. What is my point, all these positions with the fancy names have been done before. For a person to think they invented a Jiu-Jitsu position in our day and age is ignorant at best.

  • I am not a Comprido fan, but he is correct. The positions that Mr.Bravo has given names too have been practiced and years. There is no clear cut documentation of the origin of Jiu Jitsu, but it it believed to have originated from India back in the days of Alexander the Great (356 - 323 B.C.).

  • @rickjets2010 Bravo has never claimed to have created any submissions. He has always said he's created STRUCTURE to the rubber guard. so yes Comprido is correct to say has given names to the moves, but he had to so that he can create a system to make it easier to teach the techniques. I'm not insulting you just trying to tell you more about Mr. Bravo.

and no i don't know him personally. i just read his books haha.

  • Just bringing some guy with a Gi on and a Brazilian accent does not make it official!

  • @thejiffyparkmatador dude hes a legen look at his fights

  • Lol to the guys saying helio gracie used rubberguard or any other brazilians maybe they put there leg up but they did NOT do what eddie has created. Eddie created a very unique style for no gi grappling. For guys like comprido to say it existed already is just ridiculous because he is referring to eddie's style. Things change and evolve, which is why traditional bjj guys are getting owned in mma. Vinny magalhaes is the perfect example of evolving and realizing how important new techniques are.

  • he seems like a humble guy

  • uuum isnt bjj based from judo for him to critize bravo he s practically putting bjj down also eddie has admitted the he named the technique simply cause there was no specific names for them he cant use judo terminology then it takes away from bjj mythology but its ok for gracies or bjj prationers to name the omo plata but it reality its Sankaku Ude Garami so his arguement is invalid is good to see bjj guys still think they created their techniques they really brought into that myth

  • Eddie Bravo has said numerous times he didn't invent many of the moves he renamed, and takes more pride in his transitions to the different submission, not creating the submissions. I just don't get why their are so many Eddie Bravo haters, when he doesn't talk shit on anybody else's style... And I train at Graci-Barra,even though there is a 10th planet in driving distance, but I still respect the shit out of Eddie Bravo, and think his style is a good addition to BJJ in America.

  • @forrest15 Thanks man, I wish more people in the BJJ community shared your outlook. I have several friends who train under the Gracie-Barra system and at Texas Punishment Crew under Royce Gracie's lineage and they all have mad skills. Same for my school too, I think it really depends on where you started and what you prefer.

  • Eddie Bravo created the rubber guard as it exists in his system. He documented all of the positions that follow from it and has come up with a plethora of submissions because of it. tell me where in a gi school you will learn the straight jacket submission? where do they show how to double bag to prevent people posturing out, or what do the brazillian gi champs call the asylum sweep? What about Aoki, he keeps breaking peoples arms and fucking people up on the ground. Assholes

  • He didn't totally shit on Bravo but he raises a good point, 1 world champ. Is this because most competitions take place in gi's? I don't know so I'm just asking, however love how these two sweat Joe Rogan with the coconut water. Also You don't need to win to be a coach which is what Eddie is. If so why would any athelete go to a coach? This is like Tiger or Jeter calling out Harmon or Zimmern for "Not playing the game". Bad analogy i know but you get the point.

  • @zsimon21 no gi and 10th planet havent been around for that long. so to say theres no no gi champs is sorta stupid because its very young. What do you expect 20 world champs? denny prokopos is pretty good. he was going to compete in adcc but got injured. its going to take a decade before no-gi guys emerge that never trained with the gi.

  • I always love seeing men go against whats trendy.

  • This guy is obviously Jello.

  • fuck you! nothing personal but fuck you for being an asshole and claiming eddie bravo takes credit for shit he didn't invent!

  • Haters love to hate. Look at the top jiu jitsu players. Marcello, glover, drysdale... See any of these guys hating on Eddie??? Adjust your attitudes people. Jiu jitsu is still evolving learn everything you can from anyone you can. Time wasted on downing somebody else can be used to work and perfect your own game. Keep looking up people and keep working on your game.

  • @tookie36 lol okay master

  • LOL this guy is the real life Renato Laranja!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHA

  • im sorry but i personally think this guy is wrong ok i have ny opinion and he has his but rubber guard exploaded on to the scene when eddie bravo did it and ive heard in other interviews with eddie bravo he doesnt steal moves he adjusts them

  • Hubberband Gward

  • @rezwanborja YES! Love it.

  • Funny the guy giving the interview is wearing a FLO shirt....i trained there before and for sure Compridos is a legend but in all reality he is hating....hating in a sense where look at how successful eddie has become and stuff like that.... THE REASON THAT THERE ARENT MANY 10TH PLANET CHAMPIONS IT IS BECAUSE ITS STILL A FAIRLY NEW SYSTEM WHEN COMPARED TO BJJ....GIVE IT 5-10 YEARS AND YOU WILL SEE A BIG SHIFT

  • yes the twister is a move from wrestling thats why eddie put it in his system because if u have been practicing only bjj ur entire life and never wrestled, u would be unfamiliar in that position, i like the interview, but u need to be fair and unbiased in this interview, see if u can get a interview with eddie, idk know if he created it, but he brought the rubber guard to the fore front and people are using it now, he himself said i take things from other grappling styles and put them in my syst

  • 29 schools and no world champions that basically sums it up. He attracts douchebags

  • I think that it's funny that people say that Eddie never created any moves but bjj is modified judo that still uses the core submissions from judo. Bjj ( full respect from a blue belt) is no different from Eddie taking the many existing aspects of grappling and creating his own system.

  • I think that it's funny that people say that Eddie never created any moves but bjj is modified judo that still uses the core submissions from judo. Bjj ( full respect from a blue belt) is no different from Eddie taking the many existing aspects of grappling and creating his own system.

  • every time the time I see Eddie show a move he credits the person he learned it from.

  • If you only want to do bjj then 10th planet isn't for you. If you want to fight mma than it is perfection.

  • @Tororemi Why isnt 10th planet not for anyone that just wants to learn bjj??? it's up to ones opinion on which one they want to pick. gi or no gi

  • Props to Comprido. Can't believe so many people don't respect his credentials and knowledge. Lots of eddie bravo fan idiots in here lol.

  • Anyways, 10th planet guys have a ton of fancy moves. They look O.K. and they are very creative, but like any other type of jiujitsu, when the going gets rough and you and your opponent are of equal skill; fundamentals start to shine.

keep riding eddie bravos cock guys, keep thinking you're part of some revolution. If I was in Cali I would train with Bill cooper, or Jeff Glover before I would train with eddie or any of his schools.

  • Eddie states in his books that he learned the twister from wrestling. He gave account of how it got the name. He said after catching ppl with it, the JJ Machado asked him what's the name and he replied the guillotine. JJ said, BJJ already had a guillotine and they started calling it the twister. He never named that move, you can thank Jean Jacques for that ladies and gents.

  • retards

  • I hope the this sucka watches this and reads the top comments cuz he really should stop hating..your not going to be walking around with a gi or even a sweater in many parts of the world so the gi is kinda stupid....on top of that he beat a champion of the world so any1 who aint champ shouldnt really have nothing to say about him

  • He develops systems, and provides functional titles to the moves that weren't there previously. Also Eddie has more than one guard, we saw that in Eddie vs Royler 1.

  • eddie bravo has said that he just named moves that didnt have move, and that creat moves by combining moves that already exhisted.Get your facts right

  • Eddie Bravos style is to BJJ what BJJ is to Judo.

Also I dont fucking like that name, "brazilian" JJ, when it was a Japanese Judo guy that thought them.

  • lol this guy only managed to make a complete dick head out of himself. congratz moron! now lets see you and Eddie on the mat, and we'll see whos good at landing moves.

  • @RaabBlog lad,do you know what comprido has done in competetion, his record is beyond what eddie could ever have achieved, rodrigo has 2 absolute world titles and several world heavyweight titles at black belt, one of the best grapplers ever.Eddie beat 1 world class guy on 1 ocassion, and then retired as quick as he could.

  • the only reason i learned ruber gaurd is so i can get out of it lol, it works well on guys that dont know what there geting into.

  • 10 Planet > the other.....

  • It's funny to think that in the 8 years or so that 10th planet has really been on the upswing, we are expected to be world champs right away in that amount of time....weird to think that someone can be on that kind of a fast track starting from white to black belt world champ in that little amount of time.

  • KFC invented the twister i thought?

  • Oh and id like to see any of the haters arguing how vinny managed to win ADCC. Hes been training at 10th planet a lot and used rubberguard (eddie style) against werdum to transition into an omoplata and then sweep werdum winning the fight.

  • ...Eddie Bravo never said he invented the twister...he said he learned wen he was wrestling in 9th grade...and as for the names he needed distict names to for training his students...he hasnt claimed to have invented any moves, even the twister...why dont those old school jui jitsu guys stop trying to hold on to thier reps by putting Eddie Bravo down, and start being more open and trying things outside of their comfort zones, no gi included.

  • this guys a fukin moron, "rubber guard was used in brazil" lol ya because they put there legs high up. he doesnt even know what the rubberguard is.

  • @mrkmassa Pls check your facts before you start questioning people's credentials

  • @themmanuts Please give me link to the evidence.

  • @themmanuts Eddie Bravo did wrestling before BJJ, so he didn't do no gi his whole life. Even when training with the gi he made sure to not rely too much on the gi because he always loved no gi. As for the rubber guard, you can find it in an old judo book (I believe Kyuzo Mifune's Canon of Judo), but it's pretty much how not to do the rubber guard properly. Eddie Bravo's is unique and the burden of proof in this argument rests upon your shoulders. Show me Brazilians who did it before Bravo?

  • @RufusRandolf * so he didn't train with the gi his entire life, as the person in the video said. Eddie also doesn't say that the gi isn't important, but rather that no-gi is more suitable for no-gi (which is what MMA is). This shouldn't be controversial. Instead of asking other people to check their facts and simply asserting yourself as correct, why don't you check your facts before posting and show some respect? I'm only wasting this time between bong hits, so don't think you're special.
