Actually, he lost the lead to rossi at the last turn. Turn 11. Too bad though, he had a great race. He didn't crash this time. If stoner hadn't have blocked rossi the whole race, things woulda been a bit different I think.

@delagos79 You have your years confused I think. It was Dani Pedrosa who was the surprise winner at Laguna Seca. The Repsol Honda rider who was fourth on the grid took the holeshot and was off and lead the race for the entire 32 laps.

Valentino Rossi was second, but on the final lap Pedrosa slowed down and lost 1.2 seconds to Rossi who tried to pass the Repsol Honda rider, but was just too far off, but settled for second just 0.344 from Pedrosa.
