i've finally found the gun that was used in commando.. it is an "international ordnance MP2" basically what i said in my earlier comment.. its pretty much a short sten tube with a MAC-11/9mm mag well fixed to it, it can also be equipped with an extra magazine attached to the barrel as a front grip
