"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? r ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
See Mormons? God dwells in the body of every believer for our bodies are temples that house the spirit.
In the name of Jesus, stop perverting my Father's Word. Your LDS temples are an abomination in the site of YHWH.
@ChristopherMillz To all the Mormons who use the Book of Mormon read Galatians 1:6
1 am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ.
@FAITHandLOGIC How is it so laughable? You do not believe that an angel could do such a thing? Where is Christ's body? It is nowhere to be found on earth. Do you consider that laughable? There is much in the Bible that is considered laughable to those who do not believe. No one has the original scrolls that the apostles and prophets wrote on from the Bible but yet that does not affect you. If we did have the plates, that would not be enough for you. It would never be enough for you.
Did God say to build all these temples or did Man say build these temples ? i'm totally at a lost ! I'm sitting and looking but just Wonder LORD what do you want ?
@turtle4aire Good question. That is the one everyone should ask. Anything can be written or anything can be said it is revelation from God. For us to know that it truly is, we must receive that personal revelation or personal witness that it is from God. When we earnestly seek answers from God rather than man or our own intellect then He provides the Holy Spirit as a witness of truth and His will. The Holy Spirit of truth teaches us all things that is God's will (John 14:26, 15:26).
Then maybe Messiah will build a 4th Temple, because the 3rd may be out of Israel's own will and the anti-christ will occupy it. Read Zechariah 6:12-13. The Temple will be here in the 1000 year reign of Messiah, then it iwll be no more as the L-RD and His Messiah will be the Temple

These are the temples of the cult of Mormonism. The Bible clearly states that the Lord now dwells in our bodies, and our bodies are the temple of the Lord Jesus Christ. These temples have no appeal to God, especially since they demote the Glory and Authenticity of the Lord God Jesus Christ (as Yahweh, the eternal God of the Bible) Jesus was not created by Yahweh, HE IS YAHWEH.
The Bible says that the Holy Spirit may dwell in our bodies. Mormons believe this as well. Biblical Christians believed this but they also believed in attending the Temple in Jerusalem. Christ, His apostles, and early Christians attended the Temple and referred to it as the Fathers House, even after the ascension.
Mormons also believe that Jesus was Jehovah, or Yahweh, that you refer to. We also believe that He has a Father and a God that is also our Father and God(Acts 2:36 Matt 27:46 Jn 20:17
Isaiah 66:1& Acts 7:48-50 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet "Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? Hath not my hand made all these things?
1 Corinthians 3:16,17 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
@supercabinetman Exodus 25:1&8: "And the LORD spake unto Moses saying...And let them make me a sanctuary that I may dwell among them."
Even Jesus referred to the Temple as the Father's House. Of course, God lives in Heaven but the temple is a special place that one can escape the evils of the world and be closer to God. This would be the same as the Christians of the NT. God commanded them to be built
Clearly, our bodily temples may have the Holy Spirit dwell in them. Mormons believe this too.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Joseph Smith added to the word of God and is a False Prophet. The scriptures are complete and nothing needs to be added. And you stand in judgment by the warning given in Revelation 22:18-19. Repent and believe the gospel delivered to us by the saints from generation to generation.
Of course, we believe that Jesus is "the way and the truth and the life" and that no one goes to the Father execept through Him.
Joseph Smith added not to the word of God. God gave His word though Joseph just as He did ancient prophets and apostles. The scriptures are not complete. This is evident simply by reading them. Many books are mentioned in the Bible that are not there.
The warning in Revelation 22 was specifically referring to the prophecy given to John and not referring to the Bible as a whole. Really, the Bible did not exist in those days as we have it today. It was not compiled until later.
You said: "Hence God restored all truth through Joseph Smith "
Actually God is restoring more truths right now & for a while longer. What about when Jesus said: We will worship in spirit & thruthfullness and not just in Jerusalem or a mountain...? Did Jehova say build me many temples? Did He not come to dwell in Spirit in all? Also I don't get "temple worship" doesn't sound right. A building is for humans to meet in, share & yes keep their energy safe, but can't be compared to God's life in us.
You bring up some good points. There is still much truth that we do not know yet. There are things that only God knows. We should worship Him in spirit and truth. The most important thing is for us to realize that we may have the Holy Spirit within us. This is something someone should realize and have before entering a temple. There actually were other Israelite and Jewish Temples besides the one in Jerusalem. The term temple worship is refers to people worshipping the Lord inside the temple.
They know that the decree to cease temple was never revoked, so they're left in limbo trying to figure out what to do... without a prophet. Hence God restored all truth through Joseph Smith and part of that truth was the reality of temple worship.
And going back to OT times, there was always a prophet directing the people whenever a temple was under way, specifically Moses and then Nathan directing David and Solomon. and w/ God speaking to the people through a prophet to direct the people, the people lost any and all ideas on why they should have a temple and what they should do with it. Read anything of a Jewish nature and you'll find the underlying theme is "when will the temple be restored?"
One of the shortest books in the Old Testament is about the Lord commanding his prophet to restore the House of the Lord (temple). Temples were extremely important in the Old Testament, New Testament, and these Latter-days.
furthermore, the only reason that we find Temple worship ceased in the early days of Christianity was bc a few key elements happened. 1- the veil being rent in twain was the beginning following Christ's death. 2- As it was the Jews who crucified the Lord, it was that very Lord who took the temple away from them as a people collectively, 3- The priesthood and the authority to act in god's behalf in connection to the temple had left w/ the death of Christ's apostles...
Yes but even the veil being rent did not halt Christians from attending the temple. Post-crucifixion accounts of the apostles and Christians attending the temple are abundant in the New Testament. Even Paul, who is often misinterpreted for speaking against the temple, attended when he was able.
peg- you are the epitome of everything embodied in the apostasy. You know nothing of religion, history, dogma, theology, and most certainly temple worship. Get your head out of your NIV and do some real research and you'll find that nowhere in the Bible did Christ or his apostles EVER declare that temple worship was to cease. Just bc Christ fulfilled the Mosaic Law and put an end to animal sacrifice, and gave us the Spirit, never meant or said that Temple worship was to cease.
"Except God build the house, they labor in vain that build it."
Yes, this is true. Unless God has commanded His people to build a temple, they do labor in vain. You see, in Solomon's time, God commanded a temple to be built and gave instructions as to how He wanted it built. Solomon carried out God's desire and so you see, it was not in vain. This is also the case with Zerubbabel (Zech. 4:8-9).
The temple building and body both have significance in the gospel.
I say God is not interested in temples of stone and mortar anymore. 1Co 6:19 "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? " I thought that was where you were going with your video, and must admit I am somewhat disappointed. Actually, the truth is there are three temples in God's Mind: the Israel Temple, Jesus Christ and then those with faith in Jesus, and who are indwelt by the Spirit.
Of course, our bodies are a temples for the Holy Ghost. I do not deny that. However, the temple as a building still has significance. It was in Acts 17 that Paul condemned the Greeks for their false worship and false temples (Acts 19:26-27). In Acts 21:26 and Acts 22:17, Paul goes to the Temple in Jerusalem (God's Temple). The apostles and Christians continued attending the Temple until it was destroyed (or they were martyred).
CHRISTOPHER MILLZ U have to GROW Up .. See the the Things show they are Placed in a MANNER .. u will see THE CROSS. WHICH GOD USED FOR SACRFICE OF OUR SINS. GODS HIMSELF WAS THE SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS ON CROSS> This is What Tabernacle Talks with us
The Son of God, Jesus Christ, was sacrificed on a cross. It was not God the Father, because while Jesus was on the cross, He spoke to the Father and referred to Him as His God. The Tabernacle and the Temple are centered around Jesus Christ. Could you please stop shouting. :) Peace to you my friend.
They are in sharp contrast to the critics who spout the same tired and antagonistic phrases that simply are an effort to justify their reasons for leaving or not investigating sincerely the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
They offer no superior alternative to Mormonism. Only negativity.
Anyone who earnestly studies Mormonism will find peace that "surpasseth all understanding."
Since Jesus himself is the true temple the building of other temples is a sign of the rejection of Jesus. In Jesus and him alone may God dwell with man and man with God.
"the building of other temples is a sign of the rejection of Jesus"
That is not true. If you would pay attention to the verses quoted, you would note that Jesus considered the temple to be of sacred importance. Additionally, the apostles and Christians attended the temple after Jesus was ascended into Heaven until it was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD.
You left out the part where Jesus referred to Himself as the true temple, by telling the religous leaders, "Destroy this temple and I will rebuild it in 3 days." The true temple is being built right now on earth: in the hearts of true believers in Christ.
I don't believe Jesus said He was the "true temple" being that the Temple in Jerusalem was not a true temple. He did refer to His bodily temple when He said it would be destroyed and rebuilt in 3 days but He did not condemn the Jerusalem Temple. In fact, He reverenced it as His Father's House.
@ChristopherMillz The destruction of the temple was prophesied by Jesus (Matt. 24) and God decreed its destruction so that the Old Covenant with its animal sacrifices would cease and man would worship in the TRUE TEMPLE -- the church, indwelt by the Spirit of the Living God. He had put into effect a New Covenant in which people were to worship God NOT in a particular place but in Spirit and in Truth. Please real John 4:24 and surrounding verses.
@pegcage Yes, Jesus prophesied the destruction. The animal sacrifices were no longer necessary because of Christ but the temple still had other purposes. As referenced in the video, the apostles continued to go there to worship God even after Christ was resurrected. They still considered it a holy place. And yes, we should worship God in Spirit and in Truth and that can be done anywhere now, just as it was in Old Testament times. The Bible also prophesies of the rebuilding.
A classic anti-Mormon response. Keep in mind though that Christians, in general, have historically been viewed as a "cult" by Jews and many others. Also that Mormons are Christians. :)
Mormon theology says it clear. According that Jesus and Lucifer were brothers, and the man can become god and rule worlds with his wives...you don't find that lie in the bible. Joseph smith was a perverted man he never was a Christian.I know a man who was a Mormon so i'm speaking with a base. The jews said that Christians were a cult just because they didn't acknowledge the messiah. Smith was a fraud not a prophet
Hmm... same ol' same ol' isn't it? The Bible doesn't tell us all things. Modern day revelation has taught us additional information. It is true that the Bible doesn't come right out and state that Jesus and Lucifer were "brothers" BUT the Bible does tell us that there is one God and one Father of ALL. Jesus made it clear that His God and Father is also our God and Father. If you believe that Lucifer exists, and that God is the Father of ALL, then yes, they share the same parentage. :)
"Joseph smith was a perverted man he never was a Christian."
This statement is an opinion only that is based on false and non-contextual information.
Simply knowing a Mormon, or someone who was, does not provide much of a base. It simply does not make someone an expert on Mormonism. I've talked with a number of ex-Mormons who, instead of listening to the Holy Spirit, have listened to the misunderstandings and deceits of anti-Mormons.
lol. I never blocked you (hence your comment that I am replying to). Opposing beliefs or opinions do not bother me enough to block someone. I only block those who are offensive, vulgar, or trolls. I'm not really into bashing others beliefs or tearing down someones faith- just sharing my own. Garbage? Careful. Your true colors are showing. :)
Acts 17:24 (The God that made the world and all the things in it, being, as this Ones is, Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in handmade temples.) the arangement of things given to isreal including the law, priesthood, apostles, etc, was all a tutor for crist, Gal 3:24. The priesthood cannot be restored as lds teach because it isnt lost,it is fulfilled in jesus and he has no successor. Heb7:23-25
A few things to note is that 1- God did command temples to be built. According to the Bible, He said for Him to dwell in. 2- Paul is speaking to Athenians who have false temples. 3- A couple of chapters later in Acts Paul purifies himself before entering the Temple of God in Jerusalem. This is not the only account of Paul visiting the Temple of God.
Aside from Paul, other apostles visited the Temple as well and was obviously considered sacred to them.
"Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."
But it says nothing of priesthood or apostles. Of course, Mormons believe that the Law of Moses was preparatory for Christ. There's no argument here.
Heb 7:23-25 says nothing about Jesus "fulfilling the priesthood". "Jesus has no successor"... well He will always be the only Savior but He did ordain priesthood power and authority to His apostles and they in turn to others.
Some of the ordinances that were performed in the ancient tabernacle and temples are no longer necessary. However, they do share much of the same significance. They are Houses of God for the purpose of sacred covenants and ordinances.
I think it is called Variations on a Sacred Theme, Vol. 2. Thanks for the nice comments. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Be sure to leave me a rating ;)
My wife has always loved this version of "If I Could Hie to Kolob" We have never been able to find out who did it or what album it is from. Do you have that information?
It is by Lex de Azevedo. He is quite talented. He does other hymns too. He has also worked with musicians like the Jackson 5, Sonny & Cher and the Osmonds. He wrote the score for Where the Red Fern Grows. He was also a writer for Saturday's Warrior (which may or may not be something to brag about :) j/k). Maybe you have heard some LDS songs by his daughter Julie de Azevedo?
Daniel 9:24-26 speaks about the appointed time of the Messiah. He had to come be crucified and resurrect on the third day before the destruction of the Second Temple. Yeshua (JESUS) was crucified, resurrected and ascended around 30 A.D. or 33 A.D. and later in 70 A.D., the Roman Army under General Titus smashed Jerusalem and destroyed the Second Jewish Temple in fulfillment of that prophecy.
Now Sadly, Joseph Smith-like the Jews-failed to see the real temple is Christ-rebuilt in3days-Christ's resurrected body.the temple in which the Holy Spirit dwells are believers who put their faith in Christ for His righteousness for their righteousness, for their sanctification.
People of faith look forward to a city built by the hands of God,not the hands of men(Heb 11).Isn't that why Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob lived in tents? They looked forward to a city in which the architect is God,not man.
It is true that Christ referred to His body as a temple. Paul said that everyone's body is a temple. This is an LDS belief as well. However, the tabernacle that God commanded Moses to build was not Christ... the temple God commanded Solomon to build was not Christ... the temple that Christ went into and kicked out the merchants and moneychangers and called it the "House of God" was not His own body. This is the same temple that the apostles and Christians attended after the death of Christ.
There is a clear difference here. Simply because Jesus referred to His bodily temple does not mean that the temples God commanded to be built were pointless or false. Otherwise God would not have commanded them to be built. God clearly has a purpose for temples.
Wonderful job! I stumbled on this video because of a comment you left on another channel. We are actually starting a project right now about ancient temples and temples today.
BEAUTIFUL video, thank you for your faith in sharing your testimony, you don't see many videos on this site putting LDS as the true church. I loved this version of If I could Hie to Kolob!!! THANK YOU!
Sorry, yeah... the Washington DC Temple. I've been google-image-searching for a while and I can't seem to find that picture. Do you think you could send it to me?

And going back to OT times, there was always a prophet directing the people whenever a temple was under way, specifically Moses and then Nathan directing David and Solomon. and w/ God speaking to the people through a prophet to direct the people, the people lost any and all ideas on why they should have a temple and what they should do with it. Read anything of a Jewish nature and you'll find the underlying theme is "when will the temple be restored?"
magikkord 2 years ago
One of the shortest books in the Old Testament is about the Lord commanding his prophet to restore the House of the Lord (temple). Temples were extremely important in the Old Testament, New Testament, and these Latter-days.
AcademicTheologian 2 years ago
furthermore, the only reason that we find Temple worship ceased in the early days of Christianity was bc a few key elements happened. 1- the veil being rent in twain was the beginning following Christ's death. 2- As it was the Jews who crucified the Lord, it was that very Lord who took the temple away from them as a people collectively, 3- The priesthood and the authority to act in god's behalf in connection to the temple had left w/ the death of Christ's apostles...
magikkord 2 years ago

Except God build the house, they labor in vain that build it. Psalm 127:1.
This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Zech. 4:6
The fulfillment of the physical temple is a spiritual temple built without hands in the hearts of men!
pegcage 2 years ago
Psalm 127:1:
"Except God build the house, they labor in vain that build it."
Yes, this is true. Unless God has commanded His people to build a temple, they do labor in vain. You see, in Solomon's time, God commanded a temple to be built and gave instructions as to how He wanted it built. Solomon carried out God's desire and so you see, it was not in vain. This is also the case with Zerubbabel (Zech. 4:8-9).
The temple building and body both have significance in the gospel.

Well "Immanuel" Means GOD with us. God Became Flesh and saved us from Hell.
kannabhais 2 years ago
You are right. The Son of God, or God the Son, became flesh and saved us from hell. Mormons believe this as well.

At least this Gospel has been taught from the beginning with Adam and Evil and is still taught in this dispensation of times.

Actually, the truth is there are three temples in God's Mind: the Israel Temple, Jesus Christ and then those with faith in Jesus, and who are indwelt by the Spirit.
pegcage 2 years ago

GODS HIMSELF WAS THE SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS ON CROSS> This is What Tabernacle Talks with us
kannabhais 2 years ago
The Son of God, Jesus Christ, was sacrificed on a cross. It was not God the Father, because while Jesus was on the cross, He spoke to the Father and referred to Him as His God. The Tabernacle and the Temple are centered around Jesus Christ. Could you please stop shouting. :) Peace to you my friend.

Great, great video Chris. Keep up the good work.
I have also enjoyed your comments.

In Jesus and him alone may God dwell with man and man with God.
hicksi61 2 years ago
"the building of other temples is a sign of the rejection of Jesus"
That is not true. If you would pay attention to the verses quoted, you would note that Jesus considered the temple to be of sacred importance. Additionally, the apostles and Christians attended the temple after Jesus was ascended into Heaven until it was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD.
ChristopherMillz 2 years ago
You left out the part where Jesus referred to Himself as the true temple, by telling the religous leaders, "Destroy this temple and I will rebuild it in 3 days." The true temple is being built right now on earth: in the hearts of true believers in Christ.
pegcage 2 years ago
I don't believe Jesus said He was the "true temple" being that the Temple in Jerusalem was not a true temple. He did refer to His bodily temple when He said it would be destroyed and rebuilt in 3 days but He did not condemn the Jerusalem Temple. In fact, He reverenced it as His Father's House.
ChristopherMillz 2 years ago
@ChristopherMillz The destruction of the temple was prophesied by Jesus (Matt. 24) and God decreed its destruction so that the Old Covenant with its animal sacrifices would cease and man would worship in the TRUE TEMPLE -- the church, indwelt by the Spirit of the Living God. He had put into effect a New Covenant in which people were to worship God NOT in a particular place but in Spirit and in Truth. Please real John 4:24 and surrounding verses.
pegcage 1 year ago
@pegcage Yes, Jesus prophesied the destruction. The animal sacrifices were no longer necessary because of Christ but the temple still had other purposes. As referenced in the video, the apostles continued to go there to worship God even after Christ was resurrected. They still considered it a holy place. And yes, we should worship God in Spirit and in Truth and that can be done anywhere now, just as it was in Old Testament times. The Bible also prophesies of the rebuilding.

It seems to be Mormons temples, they are not jews or chrsitians just a cult!!
ignacioarg777 2 years ago
A classic anti-Mormon response. Keep in mind though that Christians, in general, have historically been viewed as a "cult" by Jews and many others. Also that Mormons are Christians. :)
ChristopherMillz 2 years ago
Mormon theology says it clear. According that Jesus and Lucifer were brothers, and the man can become god and rule worlds with his wives...you don't find that lie in the bible. Joseph smith was a perverted man he never was a Christian.I know a man who was a Mormon so i'm speaking with a base. The jews said that Christians were a cult just because they didn't acknowledge the messiah. Smith was a fraud not a prophet
ignacioarg777 2 years ago
Hmm... same ol' same ol' isn't it? The Bible doesn't tell us all things. Modern day revelation has taught us additional information. It is true that the Bible doesn't come right out and state that Jesus and Lucifer were "brothers" BUT the Bible does tell us that there is one God and one Father of ALL. Jesus made it clear that His God and Father is also our God and Father. If you believe that Lucifer exists, and that God is the Father of ALL, then yes, they share the same parentage. :)
ChristopherMillz 2 years ago

Heb7:23-25
alfredo6243 3 years ago
A few things to note is that 1- God did command temples to be built. According to the Bible, He said for Him to dwell in. 2- Paul is speaking to Athenians who have false temples. 3- A couple of chapters later in Acts Paul purifies himself before entering the Temple of God in Jerusalem. This is not the only account of Paul visiting the Temple of God.
Aside from Paul, other apostles visited the Temple as well and was obviously considered sacred to them.
ChristopherMillz 3 years ago
Gal 3:24 states:
"Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."
But it says nothing of priesthood or apostles. Of course, Mormons believe that the Law of Moses was preparatory for Christ. There's no argument here.
Heb 7:23-25 says nothing about Jesus "fulfilling the priesthood". "Jesus has no successor"... well He will always be the only Savior but He did ordain priesthood power and authority to His apostles and they in turn to others.

Are you seriously comparing the tabernacle to the Mormon Temples? They have nothing what so ever to do with each other.
GraceAlone71 3 years ago
Some of the ordinances that were performed in the ancient tabernacle and temples are no longer necessary. However, they do share much of the same significance. They are Houses of God for the purpose of sacred covenants and ordinances.

They looked forward to a city in which the architect is God,not man.
joshuajosephy 3 years ago
It is true that Christ referred to His body as a temple. Paul said that everyone's body is a temple. This is an LDS belief as well. However, the tabernacle that God commanded Moses to build was not Christ... the temple God commanded Solomon to build was not Christ... the temple that Christ went into and kicked out the merchants and moneychangers and called it the "House of God" was not His own body. This is the same temple that the apostles and Christians attended after the death of Christ.
ChristopherMillz 3 years ago
There is a clear difference here. Simply because Jesus referred to His bodily temple does not mean that the temples God commanded to be built were pointless or false. Otherwise God would not have commanded them to be built. God clearly has a purpose for temples.
