you have said that u go home once in a year...right you go ´home´ plus u dont feel like u fit in...so why are u still there? After such a long time u should be calling Japan home...i dont know it feels like u not satisfied there at all....
I just want you living in Japan adventurers to know how we back home wish you the best in your daily life there. We take great interest in vicariously projecting ourselves into your world. My perspective is one of longing to return to my years in Tokyo where every turn was filled with strange awe, yet also difficulty. The Japanese experience has remained in my blood even decades after leaving. I thank you for reminding and educating us.
You speak the sad truth. One will never fit in no matter how well you speak Japanese. Loneliness is very real living there.
My half Japanese friends who spoke perfect Japanese and had Japanese mothers even talked about always being an outsider in Tokyo. So it is not just us westerners.
that is SO not true! it is up to you how u presend urself and make things happen. I have lived in two different countried and i fitted in like in couple of months...
you think 175 is extremely short? i think its average height, even in europe. old people in japan are shorter than that though, but the new generations are taller, i can assure you. ive seen kids, teenagers that is, and grown ups who were at least 180 cm. so people are getting taller in japan
interesting talk,, didn't notice how i watched the whole 7 mins , man. enjoy ur time,, i'm in korea and seoul feels just like u told about tokyo. and i'm surprised there'r places in japan where you have those countryside folks?
Hey there, I loved your video!! You are quite entertaining! The part where you are stuck in the train was really funny! I went to Japan last summer and it was amazing, I'm young, but I really do want to move over there eventually for a period in my life :) Went to Yokohama?! You familiar with that or Yamato?! Had family there! Love the culture! Want to go to school for nursing have any ideas about becoming nurse over there while living there?! By the way, I'm new with this video stuff Add me plz
you're good at talking and making me laugh soo this video is fun too watch. ^^ Yaa know, I'm planning to go to Japan in about 2 years(I don't know what it is called, a language course or somethin') to stay there for a year to study the language and so. And I'm thinking of going to Tokyo and I'd like to hear your opinion if that's a good choice (Tokyo) or if I should pick some other place?. Cause in the video it sounded tuff in Tokyo.
Been here 11 years now... I understand, I got myself and my son into Karate... feels great. I live in the countryside as well and it is beautiful. the folks are good too, but the loneliness of people you can relate to is getting to me I guess. Hence why I spend so much on the internet and WoW.
Great vidio,Very informative. Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts.I agree about the excerzise thing big time.I'm very into working out.Feel great!I'm 38 so it's a must for me as well.
Don't listen to phillipudave, your video is great! So great, in fact, that it's worth a subscribe! I'm moving to Tokyo in a few months, so I'm trying to see what it's like, and this helped a lot. I'll be watching you!
Hi! I have lot in common with you! I am also Canadian and I've been in Japan since 1999, November! I am also 36 years old now! It was nice hearing your comments about Japan- I also lived in Tokyo at first. I moved around a bit. I also wanted to slow down as you said. I live in Kyoto now.
your a lucky person to live in Japan, Its my dream to go visit Tokyo one day. I bet it makes Vancouver or new york look very small. thanks for the vid
I'm 36 as well. I started living in Japan with the Marines then came back once finished & after college. I lived in Fukui from 98-2000 on the Jet Program, then moved to Tokyo and worked for a few recruiting companies like EWC. I made some money, but burned out like this dude
but then I came back home for good. I recommend you to do the same. You are just delaying the inevitable. You will experience serious reverse culture shock, but you will at least be home with your real family and friends. Sooner you start your real life the better. I got tired of banging those mindless chicks and being used for English practice. living there for that long screws with your head. You know what I'm talking about
closer you get to the business districts like Shibuya, Ginza, and Shunjuku, you are talking about small apt that cost from $2,000 a monthand up - very expensive and small...
Randomly searching for "Living in Japan", and voila come upon this. Loved it, I appreciate any insight on Japan from a Foreigner's perspective. I would love to see a Vlog about what brought you out there, and what you had to do before and during your first few years! Please Keep up the work, loved the videos you've already posted.
Simply put, great video. I've been searching for something like this for a very long time. Insight to life in Japan rural as well as city life. I appreciate your time that you have put into this vlog. Contact me if you get a chance, i would love to talk to you about your work there. I'm interested in teaching younger generation, teens around my age. Anyways, keep enjoying the good life. Hope to hear from you!
Anyway I can help out, I would be more than happy to. Japan is a great place to live. If there are any specific topics you want me to make a video about, let me know;)
I would love to know about your relationships, friendships exc. What do you do for fun? Do you ever hang out or talk with the local "country folk" around you aside from your students and their parents? Whats the craziest thing you've done out there? I would love to hear a vlog about this! I really appreciate your work, your doing a great thing out there. Keep it up TheNagual! :) Your an inspiration to more then one aspiring english teachers, here in the US.

hi I'm doing a project in school if you know please tell me what the climate is like in japan
mrfishersclass 3 years ago
most part of, it is humid and bubblin' hot during summertime. you might wanna take shower at least 3times a day.
way to chilly during winter. you might feel like you are in the freezer.
but autum and spring time are really beautiful.
but if you live in Okinawa, it's quite warm whole year. beaches there are beautiful too.
if you live in hokkaido, it is cool even in summer. but it's like arctic area during winter. Hokkaido is beautiful place too tho
