  • Hey! How do you do the white material? is just a texture whith a especular?

  • I want to play that!

  • congrats on Waves!

  • this shit is gooood man.... these graphics kill unity 3D..... i wish unity 3D had these graphics......... or UDK could publish like unity 3D

  • NOOB QUESTION: When i press to play/test the level/game it starts on the camera not the player spawn. How can i fix this?

  • nice

  • Please tell us how to make a platform game/camera like dis...i wanna make a lego game, and the only thing remaining is mechanics in UDK Kismet... PLEASE!!!

  • @JONIMASAKIS I'm sure it's isn't Kismet. It's simply unrealscript. You can make a top-down view with a few lines of code in camera.uc with notepad, if you make your own pawn class too you're already where you wanted to be. But you can find as much tutorial as you wish about it at udn homepage of epicgames or anywhere. It's easier then you think. Kismet is for different use. more like for gameplay events and the like. you setting up the basics of the game with scripting a few classes

  • Great lightning! ;)

  • WoW dude i love it xD .

  • make a tutorial!!!!!!! PLZPLZPLZPLZ

  • Is it a pawn using phys_rigidbody or a kactor?

Are u using setimpulse or using the mesh attributes to set velocity? Thanks!

  • a small tut wud be very helpful :)

  • How do you control the ball ?

  • Nice but i prefer. Unity 3

  • wohoo modern pacman!

  • A couple quick questions if you have a minute, I just started using UDK yesterday. For one, how do you change the player model to the ball? Secondly, I have the camera view down, however when i move left and right, the camera tends to wobble alot and I can't figure out how to fix it. if you could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks! :D

  • @ThePvPExperience have u found solution to that yet ? cuz actually i just started in udk yesterday too xD.

  • @ThePvPExperience Read up on 'Unreal Script' It makes you do all these things.

  • How long did this actually take from start to finish?

  • Prefer source engine. Udk has better lighting though

  • @paintcan176 udk is better in shape and form. I should know this , the source engine *was* my favorite engine

  • @InstantMix yeah, this would be a lot harder to make in source and wouldnt look as good

  • UDK is great, but the down side is that you have to pay 25% of your revenues if you make more than 5k a month

  • @tekhiun if you make $k, then you only have to pay $1,250 while you get the other $3,750. Not that bad.

  • awesome lighting

  • Is this game open source ? if not please give me the source code ? :(

  • Did you use BSP for the floors/Octagonal pillar?

  • @bunniesz23 yes it's all bsp.

  • @schizoslayer I see

  • @schizoslayer What is bsp?

  • @bunniesz23 Yes it's all BSP.

  • @bunniesz23 Yes it's all BSP.

  • Wery good work! You shuld get a job in a smal gamecompany! Or make one!

  • your the only person on the entire internet that ive seen so far that actually made a udk game nice job

  • @adamvanderneut theres been a few others, you just hav'nt seen them yet

  • Make the lights light up a dark room instead, and the goal is to make the room dark, and you got yourself a buyer right here!!

  • quite cool

  • Yeah, I'd pay for that, one thing that could have been better was textures

  • @kyziken I actually love the simplicity of it... I'm not sure why. Something so simple and so retro... but powered by today's engines that make it look 'real'. Portal had something going for it with this as well.

  • this is seriously a game i would buy on psn or xbox live arcade

  • it would be cool if you could make a pac man game a bit like this

  • how? pls tell me

  • hey a question, where can i Dl UDK games?

  • Any chance you have an xfire? :)

  • pacman with a sphere :D

  • how you do that? plz sient me

  • make a tutorial of this I'm sure people will pay good money to see it. I would at least.

  • reminds me of pacman

  • Interesting!

  • Im just starting to download UDK how much did you need to learn to do this? around how much time of watching tut's just to understand how to even do this.

  • Can you teach us how to make a little game like that???

  • If this is in your dictionary as quick, damn...

I don't even know how to make a ball roll around

  • Help... I am a student and am very familiar with unity 3d, but now moving to unreal engine. Could you post some documentation on how you created that, or even a simple summary in a reply. Totally new to unreal so anything would really help a lot. Thanks in advanced.

  • not a game I would buy(LOL) but good graphics make up for that(it is quite boring!)

  • Nice :)

  • How old are u schizoslayer? Im just wondering how old are the people who make games like these here on youtube?

Im just 15 but ive starting to make a game already... I Dont mean to be a showoff btw...

  • Im 13 and i make games with UNITY and now my dad upgraded my PC and ill be downloading UDK to make better projects(games)

  • I have a question do you use javascript or C#. I

  • None of these. He uses UDK (Unreal Development Kit). It is a free but powerful program. Try to google it!

  • @AndreasZinonos Obviously But there is a programming language involve. I no he used udk I am not stupid he just said it. If you thought about waht I sad you would know thatI was asking what language does he use with udk.

  • @SachinProductions Oh yeah sorry! I thought you were asking about the program! I think UDK has it's own languige, unreal script or something, where you connect some boxes with lines that tell the actions, but I am not sure. Kind of a Logic Diagram, but different! I hope this helped you, but try googleing it, cause I am not sure

  • @AndreasZinonos Sorry for being kind of mean in that last comment. I don't know there might be a language in udk. But the connecting the lines is a really good idea.

  • @AndreasZinonos

    Way to spam fker

  • @PKreviewsnvideos Can you tell me what is better? Unity or UDK?

  • @AndreasZinonos I think UDK is better but UNITY 3 is coming out soon and it looks awesome.......but for now go with UDK (if your not on mac)

  • Impressief 15 and 13 year old :P. But (no offence) what preople think game design is isnt game design. if you know how to opperate UDK or unity doenst mean you can design games. it just means you can work with the sofftware and know how to edite stuff in the engine. Design a game is about more then that, and thats what takes time.

Me im 21 and a 3D design student i know how to work with 3Ds max unity UDK zbrushand more stuff.

  • Also do you use javascript or C#

  • but when it comes to game design there are alot i need to learn and im still studying. if you realy want to design games, turn off your pc and wright a level on paper with concepts and paths and what could happen in the level and all that. then you can see how much time and effort it takes to be a good deigner. i know how to work with 3D software but it took me alot of time to learn how to make 3D scens and stills

    PEace

  • @Klickker You don't need age! you need imagination and will. These 2 will get you anywhere!(in the video game world)

Also, you need a strong PC with a lot of horsepower (sorry to break the speech!)

  • Very talented guy.

I'd love a tutorial on this please?

  • @Forplaylist there are some training dvds over at:

    eat3D(.)com

    remove parenthesis

Basically, they show you how to do stuff, and every DVD starts with the basics, so that they can make you feel a little more comfortable. Their newest DVD, shows how to create a hole level from scratch! I highly recommand them. Also there are zbrush training dvds, that you can learn modeling for your games!

  • OMG ... I love ur lighting :)

  • How can you make games like this? Please answer!! Cause I only know how to make maps! :(

    thanks :)

  • lots of practice, look at tutorials, trial and error

  • @megaknightz Aha, thanks.^^

I guess we need to program things to do things like this?

  • @megaknightz Ohh..BTW: Do you know what to type in for tutorials? ^^

  • @rarf2142 Here you go, they're all downloads though, and there is 177 videos in total

  • Could you plase send me those links too?

  • @megaknightz yo quiero los link tambien, donde lo puedeo descargar?

  • sorry ill pm links to you, youtube won't let me type them

  • @megaknightz Very thanks man! I already have UDK ^^ But thanks for the links!!!!

  • and me the lniks ^^ rofl u dont have to if u cant find em but it would be nice :)

  • Tutorial please.

  • Few hours?

Man, I would need a month to figure out how to do that, how did you change the player with that ball in the first place? =D

  • @TheUnboundReaver yh i wana no how to change player too lol

  • ...this

    is

    AWESOME

  • Nice! I have been experimenting with udk since it came out and I am nowhere as good as you. One thing though: the ball's shadow does not seem to be affected by those light balls.

  • That's just a performance thing. That many shadow casting dynamic lights would be painful.

  • oh, ok. Would that be something an expensive gaming rig could do?

  • @schizoslayer i know you get loads fo questions but how did you add colision to the skeetal mesh?

  • @schizoslayer Uh, this is gonna sound dumber than hell, cause I'm new at UDK.

But, would it be possible to create a phantom light source? One that follows the ball around, gets in between the ball and those light orbs, and then increases and decreases its brightness depending on how close you are to an orb?

I mean, if that sounded totally retarded, sorry. I just love finding unconventional ways to do things :P

  • Each time you start up the game does it have the thing saying it's starting up with the udk logo? Or does is start with "Powered by unreal technology."

  • OMG! That just made my day. Nice work!

  • Whoa, looks nice for a quick development.

  • nice work. UDK is great isn't it?

  • very nice!

  • Wow, might be simple but it looks great.

  • Great work!
