Yeah, being that the GT-R is 100 grand... it better be faster. The parts the STI has on it doesnt even come to half that price. imagine putting 60,000 worth of parts on the sti to equal to the price of the gtr.....

@YashioF350 Ok, now lets compare the Mini Cooper S to an M3... difference leagues son. GTR has an 8 cylinder engine... easy to bi-turbo it and pull 700 WHP. STI is a 4 cylinder with a turbo the size of an 18g.... and you can't bi-turbo that for obvious reason. A used STI goes anywhere from 20k to 30k, still have of what that GTR cost. So dollar for dollar the STI would be easier to mod. Throw it in a real race with similar modded cars... and it's a drivers race. Add some turns and it's different

In the Redline time attack super modified class (basically you can do ANYTHING) there was an STI that smoked the GT-R for the last 2-3 years... hmm... funny how it really happens. Now, by no means is a stock STI going to win against a stock GT-R, or even a lightly modded STI, but the point it is IT CAN happen.

Theres a lot of subaru's on You Tube racing cars that are not in the same configuration class than them. Reason? Because they are weak. They go against cars that have traction or induction disvantage and claim to be the better.

Pitted in the same class as Supras and GTR's or even GT4's (cars in their division - turbo and 4 wheel drv) Subaru Sti's and WRX's does not even stand up.
