Schizophrenics can find connections between anything. That aside... looks like id is trying to make a come back and they've partnered up with Bethesda and others. Rage looks like Fallout 3 without the 50s kitch and humor of Fallout; and maybe id borrowed some stuff from Borderlands. That's cool. It looks good.

Because writers and filmmakers saw potential for a world ending event. And they knew that would be awesome to make a story about. Also Fallout 3 started developement before Rage but so what. Nothing is completely original these days. Everything has been done. Everything I've seen from Id, Bethesda and the footage of this game tells me it will probably rock.

People need to face it, everything was inspired by something and they shouldn't fear. Now if rage was a game that took place in what the 50's thought the future was going to be like and the main protagnist was the lone wanderer or the courier. Then we have a problem.

this game is co-created buy Bethesda so there will be aspects in it that are from or more accurately similar to fallout. But this game is different from fallout and borderlands b/c A. it's not made to be cheesy like borderlands was and it's far more ... advanced then fallout is. it's more like a scifi skyrim. (i love all of thess games btw. borderlands, skyrim, fallout.)

Imagine a first-person shooter (a good one) with the mechanics of an RPG. 2.Better graphics 3.There's a better story in this game than borderlands 4.Good voice actors (borderlands barely had any and probably used their own staff for the three lines each character spoke I still think borderlands is an okay game) 5.Better scripting and animations

I like how they use Apothis. Apothis is an actual asteroid that may hit Earth in 2029. Its impact site may be off the coast of California. Look it up. NASA is watching it. If it does not hit Earth it will have another chance to hit in 2037. This is NOT the end of the world. Just for people in, around the Pacific. In 2027 its a good Idea if you live on the west coast to move inland past the Rockies.

From the very start, they have created games with one purpose, and that is to be fucking awesome. The engine has been built on the shoulders of John Carmack, a programming genius who laid the foundations for the entire FPS genre. It is going to be a mark of two decades of refinement.
