Majesty 2 - Majestic gameplay

2 was definitely not bad. 1 was much better though, and that's not all nostalgia talking. 2 just felt a lot different in a lot of areas. Speed, balance, AI (In some areas big improvement, in other much worse), etc... I just felt a lot more limited overall. Still had a lot of fun though. Much props to Paradox for reviving a childhood, adolescent, AND adulthood favorite.

Plus you took away my glorious Warriors of Chaos. I miss their bellows.

The original is an amazing game along with its expansion. I cant say for this game because i havnt played it but it looks like someone took the general idea of majesty and slapped it together with a generic rts ui/graphics. Honestly it looks to me like it has nothing to do with true Majesty. Wheres my spellbar, smaller tracking window, my own castle window/tabs, NO FREE MODE! WTF IS GOING ON HERE!?!?

You should try... Majesty 2 is almost same like the original one (in general play meaning), but as you say... no free mod and very short campaign :(

As someone who has played Majesty since the Demo was released in PCGamermagazine back around 10 years ago, I loved this sequel.

The dialogue is hilarious, the graphics are beautiful (8xAA looks really nice, no performance loss on a 3850 either), the monsters are unique and it's just overall fun, it feels like a real RTS game this time, the first game didn't really, it was a good game it just felt like you built stuff and watched stuff happen, this one is faithful to the first and I love it. 5/5.

hey I'm not trying to dis majesty and I know they wanted to keep the same values in majesty 2 the same as in 1 but half the sounds in the game are exactly the same and the gameplay and missions are so similar to the first i dont think a game like this will last in 2009

People who say this usually suck at the missions and have never tried the multiplayer.

Saves: They go quickly for me. I'm on a modern computer... you're probably on something old, like a single core celeron.

Missions: Some missions are similar, but that's about the only valid complaint you have.

Graphics: We've already established your PC is old and junky. No surprise here. Don't bitch and moan about new games when you can't afford a decent PC. Better yet don't play games if you can't afford a decent PC. Get a job loser!

Pisses me off that they, like every other damned RTS (I guess this is kind of it's own category, ish), are using the same HUD as everyone else.
