  • The body's main source of energy is fat, the body gets the atp it needs from the fat broken down into fatty acids(stearic acid,carboxylic acid, palmitic acid) just to name a few and the little sugar it needs to maintain blood sugar and glucose for the brain it gets it from glycerol so u don't really need carbs

  • Dude hate to break it down to you but everything you said is wrong, first off it wasn't until we started living in civilization(sumeria, egypt) that we adopted agriculture. Before that we were hunter gatherers so what dat mean is we ate a lot of saturated fat and proteins along with vegetables and roots for fiber

  • in the video u mention hdl and ldl as good&bad cholesterol.. well thats a myth!! they r lipoproteins(high&low density) they do carry cholesterol in the blood where needed BUT aint chol themselfs!! cholesterol in foods makes no diff to blood cholesterol as we have the liver that produces 85% of it.. if u r vegan then the liver has to make 100% of it..

  • Nobody ever said 20% of fat in grams, but in calories. Note that 1g of protein = 1 g of carb = 4 kcal

    while 1g of lipid = 9 kcal . You do the math.

  • i have around 24% fat and 187 pounds, 5 feet 11 inches high. Should I first loose the fat, and than gain some mass, or first get some muscle mass, and than cut it out.

    My end goal is to get lean, not too big, just a nice definition.

  • @GiselleBellyDancer dont know about coconut oil, but stick with organic extra virgin olive oil. one of the healthiest fats. full of antioxidants and fights bad cholesterol, increases good cholestrol to lubricate and keep blood vessels elastic and healthy to help prevent strokes.

  • Saturated fat is not bad for you, its just not as useful as unsaturated. As cavemen we lived off meat.

  • the cloughing of the artheries is because of the combination of fats and simple sugars in youre dieet :-) the only " bad fats" are trans fats => they are cancerougettic :-)

  • not exactly => it depends on youre own metabolism =>if youre a fast burner you need more meals a day then a slow burner => if youre mesomorf type you can do bouth. i have been at 3 to 4 % body fat with consuming 60 to 80 gr of fat a day lower your carbs ( but you have to alternate ) => 150 gr to even 300 gr and even fluctuate whith proteine between 90 gr min to 180 gr max the thing is that it is to complicated to explain in a jiffy.it depands on several factors :-)

    This isn't true. If I were to be on a calorie deficit of, say 500 calories, if my macros were 40/30/30, I would not get fat.

    Fat is not bad for you (except Trans), the only reason that it became popular to have a "low-far diet" is because cutting out fat gives you a huge gap in your calories, thus making you lose weight, which works well for people who don't exercise because its easy to manage.

  • @WhatIsItToBurn absolutly true i got myself on 3 to 4 % of body fat with eating 30 to 40 % of fat a day from my caloric intacke :-) the thing is that it depands on many factors :-)

  • Sharks are entirely muscle and cartilage. They are extremely lean fish, and you are right, their muscles burn fat as a primary source of energy.

    I must stress that I am not lethargic. You're body adapts to the lack of carbohydrates and releases ketones, which is a fat molecule that your brain actually prefers over regular glycogen because of its high concentration of energy. I am more energetic and can go on less sleep.
