with slide you usually tune to an open chord, blues is mainly E and A, with some cool variations such as open D with the high B and E both tuned to D. This sounds good playing indian style stuff. Hope it helped.

Eric plays slide alright, its just not his forte. you have to work with slide a long time before you can really single string pick, cut out all the backgound neck noise etc. it is very Zep similar tho. nulling the strings at the bridge with right hand would be a start..then half-claw finger style (like DA) is where you wanna go...as to the timing/ all my vids are off synch, don't know why, they just are. blurry or not thats him playing.

Everything is there except a dominate right hand - alot of that should be alot tighter - maybe practice with a click track or a metronome - all of the elements are there - needs to be tightened up a bit - sharper attacks and endings
