it doesn't sound like a rip off of carlin. carlin was saying context in terms of what you can joke about, not about whether somebody should be fired for using an offensive term. on carlin's album "parental advisory: explicit lyrics," he was specific about groups trying to control what you can joke about. rock's routine is different.

add to which, rock is an acolyte of carlin. he had him on his show to discuss one of his books and the seven words you can't say on tv.

right!! 7 dirty words is the most famous comedic accomplishment in my opinion. I fuckin hate how he put so much emphasis on "context" in which the words are used...its almost quote for quote in the way Carlin used them.
