Side by side this Design is more modern than the R8. The upcoming NSX takes it the the next level. Almost flawless execution of a modern supercar design - the lines, creases, ratios - everything blends together well and is very pleasing to the eye. Awesome!
Competition's been like little Chiwawas about their accomplishments but the real brain power resides in the Honda R&D team who brought you the most advanced humanoid robot in the world which has more advanced technology packed in it than the any car out there. The big dog doesnt need to yap yap about this and that, hes just gonna get it done.
It looks great, but I'm not sure if I'm sold on it yet. Hybrid?? how much power is going to be in this thing if it's a hybrid? are they exchanging power for a better mpg? to me that doesn't sound like a super car. Now if it can get some good power and be a great price then sure...but some specs need to be included before I can say "I love it"

@XlopenX That's actually a good thing, because not only do you get better fuel economy, you also get a big boost in hp and torque from the electric motors in the front.
@XlopenX V6 VTEC will easily make 350+bhp, the electric motors will add another 100+bhp and the car will probably weigh less than 1300kg, it will be a monster.

@rsx1312 This has been discussed before, but the hybrid here is NOT to improve fuel economy but to increase torque (like the Tesla) and handling. It will have three motors (one to augment the rear engine) and a motor for each of the front wheels, applying NEGATIVE torque when cornering. If it makes the car better handling and faster, it's the way of the future (Porsche uses it now too).
@KiidBizarre The nissan GTR is a V6 twin turbo and it puts out 478 hp at 6800 rpm. It can reach 193 mph with a V6! In test drive on a circuit, it's faster than Gallardo (V10), Audi R8 (V10) and Lotus Elise (I4!!!, O.O). Power is how you manage it, sheer brute force is not... elegant (Veyron's W16 is just O.O).
@lexousa but not V8's ( Z06 hint hint ) it gets smoked,,btw anything is fast with 40 psi of boost ( 2012 Z06 already destroyed the 2013 GTR on the track, with the Z being down on HP,computers,no LC, etc.. so better luck in 2015

It may have took Acura a long time to bring back the NSX, but boy have they hit a homerun with this one.
The Nissan GTR will probably still be faster than this car, but this Acura blows it away in technology, looks, quality, and reliablity, and engineering.

It is still gas powered, but the active handling technology utilizes electric motors...This will make for an impressively handling car on the track (hopefully), however, if one was to want to keep this car for a long time, I would imagine they would wear out and be a pretty penny to replace 10 or 15 years down the road when "kids" are in the buying range. NSX's are historically OVERPRICED, but there are diehard fans. I'll stick with Corvettes..

Am I the only one who is still hoping for the return of the HSV-010. It's a 650hp V10 supercar that was supposed to be produced, but now used for racing only (detuned to 500hp due to racing regulations).
If NSX is a 400+hp hybrid mid-engine AWD, the HSV-010 would be a good complement (650hp non-hybrid front-engine AWD). Having TWO halo cars would definitely separate Acura from Infinti and Lexus.

Finally, the new nsx, if Audi r8 and lambo gallardo had a baby, this concept would be the end result. Also, will technology from this nsx trickle down to all Honda products just like the original nsx did for Honda back in the 90's?

To all those who keep saying why is Honda putting a hybrid in this car, first of all its not going to be like a priuse where the hybrid engine and gasoline engine is mated into one. The hybrid motors purpose is to spun the front two tires for quicker acceleration

@PEREZCHOOCH The V10 NSX was canceled due economical crisis and some other bull... The V10 was producing around 600+Hp and was a AWD to compete against the GTR... That thing was a beast! But Honda decided to go Green and make a Hybrid... It was suppose to be the best SuperCar ever... :(

Acura is BACK! Now let's see the RL (supposed to use similar powertrain as the new NSX).
Am I the only one who is still hoping for the return of the HSV-010. It's a 650hp V10 supercar that was supposed to be produced, but now used for racing only (detuned to 500hp due to racing regulations).
If NSX is a 400+hp hybrid mid-engine AWD, the HSV-010 would be a good complement (650hp non-hybrid front-engine AWD). Having TWO halo cars would definitely separate Acura from Infinti and Lexus.

In my opinion, It's better external design than R8. Look like blend all good design thing from all super car to one perfect package.
But this car is just a concept car that normally beautiful than production one, should wait 3 year if someone want to compare it with production car.

A new NSX was due back in 2007 which got killed at its infancy due to economic depression. Honda being a pussy dropped the prototype whereas nissan carried out with its GT-R and Lexus with its long expected LF-A both of which were quiet a success.
