  • Thanks, I have been looking at various designs for the plunger system and yours looks like the best one.

  • You might want to put the end of your hose now into a sluice box. Looks like it would feed the box at the right speed and now skip one step needed.

  • Its the dredge sniper?

  • those are pretty cool ideas, might have to try that in a river known for gold near me.

  • Well done! Thanks for the help it's greatly appreciated.

  • hey good job, thats cool gives me ideas put a 1inch by 1inch by 1 1/4 tee to make a handle

  • Neil! You are correct! They are oneway checkvalves w/a flap inside. The nozzel one has the flow directed in and the other has the flow directed out. Good luck. If the are to expencive in the uk drop me a line and maybe i can help you getting some from here in the states

  • @svenskoxo Hi

thanks a lot, went to leadhills wanlockhead Scotland, very rich river, there is a competition the end of may and i wanted to turn up with your design, I will try the local plumbers for the valves as big stores don't have them. How much would you charge to send two valves?

    regards Neil

  • @svenskoxo

possibly even cheaper, if check valve costs too much... try tennis ball or ping pong ball inside tube. U pull ^ ball floats ^ then push v and ball seats itself, forcing material out other port...

    Free idea's 4ya... use M or Lose M, an thanx 2ya2 ;], Mn.Lare (MinnesotaLarry)

  • cool

  • fantastic videos, the best I have found on youtube. I'm going next weekend to get all of the parts and I'm going to make one. I'm new into this whole prospecting thing and its people like you who actually show how to make these things that are helping me out. Thanks again!

  • I love it, cant wait to try it.....

  • excellent 4 video's. Possible suggestion to help... thumb or finger might bet sore by end of day. Maybe add 4" or 5" long by 2" diameter wooden dowel (closet clothes hanger diameter)(drilled 1/2") and insert nut and washer between handle and sucker just under eye bolt, large enough for strength, and for those who find grasping small items difficult. Keep eye bolt to hang unit with rope or bungee cord

  • ty for the cheap and easy design it only cost me $45 dollars to buy and 25 mins to make, wont be able to use here in mn till spring but from garage test it should work great

  • hey I started by doing research for 2 years at home in chicago and then i went on a long weekend to arizona . there are state lands you can go on and detect or prospect.

if you want you can join GPAA 75 bucks and they have 4000 claims you can use free.

or go to california , in the hills there are places you can pan for a fee and stay if you want over nite

  • @svenskoxo did thay make it illegal to dredge and pan in californa in most places? ive herd somthing like that

  • @svenskoxo Hi i am in the Uk, we have different fittings, but i want to ask about the black fittings, i guess the have a one way flap inside?, which way around do they go? i think one fitted to the straight piece goes up flow, but the one going at an angle, i'm not sure

    Neil

  • thats awesome, how did you start prospecting?? for some reason i thought average joes couldnt just go out and prospect i thought it was alot harder than that or that you would have to be part of some sort of company or something..lol

  • Just wanted to say Happy holidays to all.

Also what you see is what I do tomake my life easyer when I do get out to prospect .

and when I dont get out Icome up with ideas forthe future ,I post them so that they can help you guys (hopefully) and you will have to take it from there and adjust to your own needs. let me know how it worked out for you.

  • thats cool man ..

  • thats great.

im not a plumber and didnt know of those check valves.

    thanks a lot.

should have 1 ready for next weekend

  • Thank you for the great ideas...... I'm going to try to put one together in the next few days. Thanks again!

  • very good,

  • dude!! you are a legend!!! i really enjoyed that!!! very simple to make was explained well THANKS!!! from COWBOY!!!!

  • Thx for sharing this vids.. Andy

  • Great video and good work on laying out the parts going to make one in the next couple of days. Thanks very informative.

  • it works like one of those old aquarium vacuums. nice!

  • Dave,,

    The length worked out perfectly.

Im planing on makeing a smaller one as well.

  • @svenskoxo will a home made pum like that work totally submerged under water?

  • @JAMESHI5

Yeah, it will. It works on vacuum as opposed to siphon. This allows for opperation with or without the presence of air.

  • @JAMESHI5 Yes it will. It's basically a hand powered vacuum. I would make sure that your discharge valve has a hose leading to the bank or a bucked though...

  • VERY NICE INFO .... my 3" pvc sucker is only 3' long , was your 5' too long for you to use??

  • A nice idea, but aren't you better to have the big nozzle rather than a little one so you can suck up bigger nuggets?

  • very nice ill put this info to good use :)

  • looks great can't wate to build one

  • Me and my Friend just made 2 of those units but we used temp plumbing test end caps for the piston seal works Awesome. Thanks for the video break down!

  • What are temp plumbing test end caps?

  • @JahKarr

please post-explain what "temp plumbing test end caps" are

    thanks

    lac123able

  • Great design!

  • Would you be able to use your classifier on top of the bucker instead of a lid?

  • appreciate all the detail you put into the video's and costs to build the unit..cheers and happy prospecting...

  • Nice build sven.
