It's a classical guitar which is meant to be played with fingers instead of a pick. Also, there are many songs (such as this one) that require plucking multiple strings at a time which is impossible with only a pick.
Yeah there are finger picks that can be used for an acoustic guitar. Finger picks generally aren't used with a nylon string classical though. That would sound terrible. I've never seen anyone do it.
