My dog had me trained to do a few such things for him. Water was no obstacle as he would dive through ice to get to the water. It is funny to see them waiting for you to do the task they want you to. they are so smart and human friendly it is a pleasure to do so for them. You can't find a better friend.

We've had two of these,... I loved them to death, but parents said I should get a Lab as my first dog... Still. I love these dogs, they're so cute and smart, even though they look so 'derpy'! The last one we had was kinda afraid of water too, and I love how yours is just staring at the ball in the pond like 'Man, my ball is in there... but the water looks so wet... I really don't want to get my face all wet. Oh I know! I'll just sit here and stare at it. Yes, that'll work!" :P

Lovely Bull Terrier there, great pond, love the mix of fish there. All looks happy and well.

I used to have a Pitbull who was fascinated by the pond but hated the rain and getting wet. The crazy thing is she loved the hoze pipe and would run round with the end in her mouth water gushing out wagging her tail. I could never work that out. She was also fascinated by frogs, she would sniff them until they plopped back in the pond but never hurt them. Great Video there nice set up.

Our Bully Siobhan "loses" her toys under the couch and then whines with her head half way under the couch because she can't reach. As soon as you rescue it she has it back under again. We rescue it about three times and then take it away because it gets too annoying.

Isaac does the same thing in the creek but barks at the ball till I get it. yet he surely dosen't mind jumping in the creek. he drinks out of the tub he balances on the edge for a long time then barks at the faucet till i turn it on. Kai is definitely not dominant over me. He is very well behaved with me and waits untils I say he can eat, walks behind me when I enter a room or the front door after a walk, obeys me immediately when I give him a command. There is no dominance...he knows his place in our pack!

@zrobe Not true for most dogs. I'm quite fond of Shiba Inu, although the ones I've been around are very dainty and do not like getting their fur or paws dirty. They're very much like cats in that way. My bully pup is the same. She wont go to the bathroom in the dirt if it's raining because her paws will get muddy. None of my other dogs have been like that. :3 Just her.

Yes, we cleaned out the pond a few weeks ago and found 6 balls! There's one in there now, that he won't leave, so will have to get in and rescue that one ;)
