  • In some of my vids you can see the green bar It's BC my video editing program sucks so what program Is better

    Power Director 6 or 7???

  • i know you consern about the new program

i lost some other work i was able to do but can´t now with thia upgrade

lost of money there and maybe i´ll be looking for another program

i dont what to do still inserts that is easy with freeware

  • I FEEL YOUR PAIN BROTHER .. I got PowerDirector 7 after reaserching for a cheap program to cover a moving car tag. I had to learn exactly what your saying the hard way.

  • This particular problem is fixed in the most recent patch you can download from Cyberlink. But making moving PiP objects follow something else is something that Cyberlink could have done better. Best of luck.

  • nice vid man

i waz wonderin if v cud change the background of a video in PowerDirector 7.. can v?

  • Depends on what you mean by change.

Power Director does let you do chroma key, more commonly known as green screen or bluescreen.

  • oh, ok...

    thnx 4 the tip..

actually i meant if we can insert a picture or a video IN our video... thanks!!

  • you know what im saying right... az a background can we insert a video or a picture?

  • No, I don't know exactly what you are saying, sorry. There are many ways in which a picture or video can be inserted in another video, and there are many ways in which the background can be changed, many ways in which a picture or video can be made to appear as if it's in the background.

There's no way I can guess exactly what you mean. Find me an example though, and I'll make a guess as to how it could be done.

  • uhun.. example.. well.. watch this video..

    /watch?v=glVLjFuRsEo

in this video, this guy changed his background to some dollar bills, can we do this in PowerDirector 7?

  • Ah yeah, that's chroma key a.k.a. greenscreen. If you look around the edges of his head you'll see a green tinge. That's because he's actually shooting himself in front of a green backdrop. With chroma key you can pick any one color in a video and make it invisible. In PD you'd do that by making the dollar bills your main video, basically a still image with a duration, then you'd add the video of yourself in front of the green screen as a PiP object with the green set to be invisible.

  • omg dude thnx so much xD

  • Hey bro. im pretty much new to power director 7

how can i block peoples faces in a film that i have, its an interview and i have no idea how to do that effect' Like it had DANGER but i would like to use like a black cloud

please i need your help bro,

    please need some help, thnx

  • If there's only one face I would recommend the mosaic effect. You can specify location, height, width, degree, and you can change that over time. Check out watch?=v=Wn1Bflzi0hE on my other channel for an example.

Multiple faces, you could create an image file icon to cover each face, possibly use chroma-key to render a certain color in each icon transparent so you can have odd shapes like the danger sign.

Try to keep movement to a minimum. You can adjust for movement but it is hard.

  • Powerdirector 7 is an awesome program, but I have never had that PiP problem and I bought version 7 as soon as it came out. I think they have fixed it though, because a while ago whenever I opened Powerdirector 7 it popped up with this patch download window.

  • Yes, they acknowledged the problem and fixed it in a patch about two or three months ago. See a later video of mine, I think I gave it the title "They fixed it" or some such.

  • This is a bit of an off-topic question, and doesn't have much to do with the video itself.

    1. Why are you being anonymous?

    2. Are you living in Japan, and speaks both English and Japanise? I don't really get it :S

  • No problem.

    1) Instinct. Just doesn't seem like a good idea to shout out my last name, company I work for, US social security number, number of women I've slept with, etc. Just feels like a good way to avoid potential problems.

    2) Yep, you got it. I'm American, but have been living and working in Japan for about 12 years now.

  • you could split the backround clip right when the big sceen come up, and then you could dubbel clik on the pip clip then pas the pip clip on the big screen;) i think that could help:D sorry my spelling wrongs:D if its work please tell me:D

  • No worries, Cyberlink fixed it in the most recent patch release.

  • ni kai shan shuu henyoisu.

  • I know you are but what am I! :-D

  • a very interesting person ;)

  • Oooo.... Thanks!

  • Got me there. Googled everywhere and couldn't figure out what that meant.

  • wo xi huan zhongou ren!

    wo xi huan zhongou cai!

    baka! o_o

  • I know you are but what am I! :-D

  • Looked that all up just now... ;-)

Me too. Taiwanese even more so. Heck, I shook Lee Teng Hui's hand in 1995.

And that made it all the more painful when Cyberlink broke the motion editor in Power Director 7. :-|

  • lol nice
