i hear the ice cream truck lol i thought i did. i really enjoy your videos. ive been hearing that music theory is extremely confusing. you make it really easy
@corinian67 Thank you for your comment. I'm pleased you are liking my videos. They can be a bit slow and boring but hey, if you can derive something useful from them then, that's great and I thank you for your appreciation.
I’ve seen a number of these videos and I think Tony as done a really good job in giving beginner folks a comprehensive and good solid foundation in musical theory.
So some good solid music lessons we have here, so keep with it folks.
I am one of this people who firmly believe that learning some fundamental music theory, at least, is a big help.My late musician father{ RIP} was absolutely right. He taught me all of it when i was a child.
Very good lessons! I've already knew up to about this lesson but watched all of them anyways. It refreshed my memory very well! Where is your DVD available at?
@darkxsk8er Thank you for your kind words. I'm very pleased you have had a good refresher in music theory. Thank you for watching my videos. Sorry about the DVD issue, I didn't make one in the end. I just do lessons for free on here when I have time and patience.
@TwilightGurl647 The 'Chromatic' list of notes isn't really a scale. It's just the progression through all the available 12 notes. When you start to apply a 'Major' (or Minor, Peta 5 Tonic, Mixolydian) pattern of Tone, Tone, Semitone, Tone, Tone, Tone, Semitone you are changing this order and eliminating or duplicating notes.
Very good, I just have a question does the b ( second finger, first fret) also turn into a f? Like the high e string? And if I was to play the major c scale would I have to find each note on the fretboard that make up the major c scale and play them ? Thanks your videos are very muscb appreciated , best I have ever seen
@TwilightGurl647 The 1st thinnest string is E. The 6th thickest string is also an E but 2 octaves lower. If you press either of these at the first fret with your 1st finger, you will be producing an F.
i have seen 8 in a row of ur lessons and it is very helpful. i hope to watch all of them in the next three days. im taking notes like crazy but i hope it helps me with jazz guitar.
Thank you !

Another question so from going from 1 fret b to 12 fret b that's an octave of the chromatic scale? Then where does the major scale come in?
