Won't work, it says I have to change to UK, even though my computer's speech options are already set on UK. I set it like that back in like June or something to get this to work for me, and it worked, but now it doesn't work.

Been watching your videos,and they are great and well explained thankyou.However Ive started the gadget,but when i click faceposer or any other i get the message " windows cannot find undefinedhlfaceposer.make sure you typed the name correctly and try again" - how do i point the gadget to the correct path of faceposer.

I assume its what you have to do.

@electricfire7 Not sure whether to put this in the description or what, but I just had a need to do this again today; you need to set up a configuration in that desktop gadget first. The name field can be anything, the engine must refer to the real engine version of the game in question, and then the path must be the path of any gameinfo.txt file (be it your mod, or a Valve game). For something like HL2ep2 you may have to extract it via GCFscape.

If you cant find path and are using half life 2 use this path c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\youruser­name\half-life 2\hl2

Remove the (x86) if you're running a 32 bit os and replace your username with yours

There is no UK or US in the Speech Recognition options, there is only "Microsoft English Recognizer v5.1" and "SAPI developer sample engine", wtf ? I'm Vista 32 user

For fuck sake, following the video only for the phonoeme extractor to say: Extraction result: Results retrieved but full recognition failed. I am tired of wasting 2 hours just to manually sync all the damn voice bits together.

Excuse me, but do you know how to set up the Gadget? Cause it keeps giving me an error everytime i try to open Faceposer, saying "unable to find gameinfo.txt. yet i clearly see that file where i told the path to go.

So am i doing something wrong, or not doing something?

uuhhhhh, this has been out for a while now and I've tested it. I recorded a file in english. I wasn't aware back then about the UK/US thing. In fact, my settings are german (where I live). Yet, I had no problems.... weird....
