Remember...Carolan wrote this piece was written for a strapping military man, not a shy retiring poet! The true power of this tune is only revealed when played in a more brisk and march like fashion. This rendition is far too slow and everything written about the way the old Irish harpers performed these pieces suggests that we know play this music is far too staid and slow a fashion!
