  • srv is doin the damn thing!!

  • i miss SRV, but I REALLY miss drugged up SRV!! He had that fucked up, I just gotta play feeling, let me scream out my pain through my guitar feeling when he was fucked up. Then he got sober, and cared....about hits.

  • @wailerbob he would have died several years earlier if he hadnt cleaned up

  • Is Stevie using the Diaz Square Face for this vid?

  • Would someone please recognise Tommy Shannon and His drummer here Chris Laton for Gods sakes they are donig all the background fills ,Chris is just riffin like mad on the kit , And Toomy who need s no introduction got his chops playing with Johnny Winter is kicking seriousa booty you know how hard it is to hold that line down for that long ? ITS TOUGH RIP MR STEVIE RAY VAUGHN

  • poor strat

  • It's a song about how bad the Chelmsford (MA) selectmen are I think. The 3 amigos: Phillis, Dullberg, and Rocket Scientist Pat.

  • 1984 was this performance. So he was still very whacked out on drugs.

  • and drunk as hell

  • @mikeyaaa he gave a pretty decent interview to the German TV after he walked off stage. He didn't seem drunk at all. And if he was drunk so what? He was amazing no matter how high he was. Later he sobered up and showed the people he can do it without any alcohol and drugs. He was a great man and I miss him dearly.

  • @SkylineBNR34 Drugs or no drugs, he had raw, rare, undeniable talent. Sad though that, by his own admission, he was high on cocaine for much of his early touring. That aside, he should still serve as an inspiration to young, aspiring musicians.

  • Does anyone know when this performance was?

  • I like the this one better than the Montreal one.

  • I would of thought by pulling as hard as he did while standing on the body you would break the neck ya know hey check out my back round if you already havent It is the part of this show when srv plays the guitar like a violin lol

  • I dont know how Srv could keep the bridge from not breakin it...

  • breaking the bridge? there isnt really any stress on the bridge.

  • the bridge wouldnt break but he could sure as hell snap the trem bar. haha trust me ive done it.

  • haha we all trust you!!! cuz we know you so well!!

  • ah you gotta love the sarcasm. :)

  • There were plenty of stories where he snapped his Tremolo Bar.

It became something that happened alot and there is a story where his guitar tech actually had cotton stuffed into threads where the trem bar goes to get it out easier.

  • He is my biggest Inspiration.

    Thanks for everything Mr Vaughan.

    R.I.P

  • there's something weird seeing SRV playing JH dressed alike but he do it well and as we don't have anymore JH...
