Good Choice on the camera, let me know what lens you get, I am considering purchasing the Canon 24-105MM F4 or the 24-70MM F2.8 but 90% of the time you use F4 which I use my Tokina 11-16 to maintain sharpness. I think it might not be that needed.
Hi, I think you will find the Rode video mike a good combination with the 550d, even though the 550d doesn't have manual mike gain control the performance is excellent on the 60D. I'd be interested in your follow up video tests with the canon, especially as the nikon has good reviews.

I use a canon t70, Which is from the 80s, Do you know where i can get lenses for it? I understand its a different mount.
