As a kid, the warning alerts of the bosses in G-Darius used to give me one of the most exciting pleasure feelings ever. The bosses truly were to the edge of your seat stuff.

Wonder why they never made another game in the Darius series.

It probably wouldn't be as good, but they could make a new one,

or better, remake G-Darius in updated graphics,

for download on Xbox and PS3 as arcade games.

@Smraedis Taito may make another Darius game. I was thinking it could be Darius: Time Hawks. This game has zones that are at different eras and at the beginning, you can choose one of three charaters: Kevin, Jimmy, and Riley on P1 side and Katie, Jenny, and Rachel on P2 side. Kevin and Kate start with 1 level in shot, Jimmy and Jenny start with 1 level in bomb, and Riley and Rachel start with 1 level in shield.

Eihander is unique fr it´s weapon things, but G Darius offers a fantasy trip, having so twisted and cooler things, the bosses, the story, and the multiple awesome endings, ...I miss this game a lot D:

I ALWAYS hated when The Embryon threw out that energy prison. I would be fine up until that point, and then he'd trap me, and I'd get distracted and end up getting most or all of my shield drained away.

When you shoot the ultimate energy shoot its like Die mothefuker die! But him survive a lot of those really this is one of the most difficult bosses, only GT is harddest (in my oppinion)

I feel like the stage doesn't do the music justice. A giant surreal bio-mechanical complex seems much more suited for it.

I dunno, I thought the term 'GENESIS' and the giant morphing clione in the background with all the light ribbons fit perfectly. For giant bio-mech complexes the other endings have it covered. See the vids in the poster's description.

notice how this boss actually launches a stripped down version of the very first boss of this game (Eclipse Eye with its eyes removed, and its tails replaced by a booster)

Other Darius games had "bad endings" but were more like grim joke endings (like the silver hawk exploding because of deep water pressure in darius gaiden)

Also I didnt realize at first that the credit roll song is actually a remix of a boss song from the very first Darius

Nice run, but actually, this ending is not the canon ending. The real ending occurs when you enter the Omicron zone, and there, the ending has the heroes destroying the final boss, and they fly back to their planet. However, the remains of the final boss is taken by the Belser forces, thus sparking the events of the first Darius. So, technically, the canon ending is the Omicron ending, and G-Darius is a prequel.

I have this game for the original sony playstation (PSX) and was thinking of selling it on ebay. Can someone tell me the name of the song that's playing during the fight with Embryon? Also can someone tell me how to activate the mid-sized captured enemy's secondary fire and/or thier special attacks recorded in the instruction manual? Actually, from what I read, when Sameluck and Lutia were caught in The Embryon's blast, they became the force of life; when the blast engulfed a barren planet, it created an ocean and a blue sky. This is supposed to be the beginning of Planet Darius.

So, it's more of a bittersweet ending than a tragic one.

The Embryon was considered the original Thiima, and thus the supposed 'leader'. However, it only existed in something of an alternate dimension. As it is destroyed, the dimension itself ceased to exist, along with everything inside, leaving the universe at peace. We would like to think the pilots of the Silver Hawks found peace at last as well.

usually by the part it fires the spread shot plus the spin laser, I'd have depleted my shields there, and that's when I'm in Vs Boss mode...

Your Silver Hawk moves awesomely fast though... is it the real speed?

Yeah, well in a way.. the game is running a bit too fast on this version, making the game quite harder than normal.
