and when the cops came through me and Dre stood next to a burnt down house with a can full of gas and a hand full of matches and still wasn't found out
I'm confused. How did she go from epic songs like this to "hollaback girl?" Don't get me wrong, I am all for female empowerment, but seriously, couldn't she done a better song than that?
@DemonWarp65 No. She didn't really have much talent when it came to writing music. She was a good singer and had some great lyrics in the day. When in Tragic Kingdom writing credit is given to 'Stefani' it's referring to her brother Eric. Him and Tony were the principal writers until he left.
@VoltageTHD ...That's fucking tragic. Not the song, record, nintendo, or a sugar drink...but that you get thumbs up in a digital format for a "NintendoCaprisun brought me here :D"...at least seperate the Capri andddddddd the Sun holmes.
@tommyloika its like 2 min. 40 sec into forgot about dre when eminem starts rapping. its the guitar riff that comes in for a short amount of time. and the bassline is similar to the guitar in this song as well
@TheDannyboy55 listen to "Forgot About Dre" at 1:54 mark, Dre Sampled guitar riff at beggining of "The Climb" by No Doubt. Dre Also sampled the bass line
great gwen and no doubt.... this kind of music is gone.. which i hate to say but yeah its the truth cuz new no doubt will never b NO DOUBT.... idk but thats the way i feel...
its not a sample that dre did of this song though is it? he just copied the bass line. i thought a sample was taking the exact music, making a loop, and maybe changing the tempo.
u can sample in many ways, u can loop it ... u can chop it up in to pieces and try to make a different melody from that, u can pitch it up or down any way u can manipulate it and make it ur own is sampling :)
actually they didn't. if they knew anything about notes they would see that the root note is G but the rest of it is not even close. anyone who says this obviously knows nothing of instruments or notes.
Good for her. Money makes the world go round.I love the sellout Gwen. In this world, there are winners and loosers. We all what type of person you are. haha
Oh..... i don't know that chick talking about bluffin' with her muffin. Lady GaGa i think her name is. She's like a poor imitation of Britney Spears and Fergie. Why anyone would imitate them is beyond me but there you go 3 of the top of my head. Jessica Simpson, her sister. Ummmm Gwen's still a brilliant musician. As trite as her solo stuff sounds its still very wry clever stuff
mainly, i agree with you. she had said though (a long time ago) that she had always wanted to be madonna. she's showing her true colors and it's not pretty.
i wonder how dre heard this and then sampled it!!!!!!!

I'm kinda glad that I just read on wikipedia that Tragic Kingdom was like getting diamond and double Grammy Awards, basically win many awards.
seriously, this album truly DESERVES all of those awards!
No Doubt is IMHO one of the most talented pop-rock band ever, especially during this Tragic Kingdom album era! there's no doubt about it!
ah and btw I'm from Indonesia!
