If the U.S uncapped its oil wells (Which are there, we capped them back in the 70`s) we wouldnt NEED foreign oil, African oil isnt even big, almost all of the worlds oil comes from Middle Eastern Countrys.

We capped our wells in an attempt to buy out the worlds oil.

Secondly, Africa does not provide the U.S with much agriculture, if the U.S actually began to produce food at full scale (Currently its only 10%) we could feed Africa, so deal with it.
