Usually there are restrictions on the weather for these operations. but the weight of the chain back towards the rig, combined with hydralic towingpins keeps the anchor in position.
That is funny: I worked on the Rigg and repaired the Olympic Poseidon at Ulstein Verft, too !!!!

The Poseidon is on chart with Acergy Piper, formerly known as the LB200.
We will be working on it the next month.
