@soparamens HAHA! I don't care about length. But I have to say I love the traditional cut much better than the tournament cut. My Shihan (RIP) used to iron creases in his pants as though they were dress slacks! The he would finish of the look with a set of white elastic ankle braces! LOL!
Nice job..its nice to see some real bunkai on youtube for a change. But my only suggestion is that you include some weapons attacks for each movement in the kata. thus showing technique in full circle..Goho, Juho and Bukiho.
One of the things I love with Karate is that its so respectful. Everyone shows their respect to each other by bow. If there is a man and a female, if there is a black and a white, if there are young and old, they show respect against each other by bow. Karate the art of respect!
if i walked up behind you in a bar and bashed you over the head with a bottle, would you automatically be standing there in a fighting stance with your guard up? the truth is, most people usually have their hands low for one reason or another. this is one differnece between fighting, and self defense. just my opinion
very informative, thank you for sharing. OSU!

to make punches faster
to make punches harder
keep punches hidden
plus for other applications that are more complicated
plus keeping hands down its not all ways a rule for fight application
happy training :)

Why do all Karateka attack with their guard down (stepping forward punch)?
In a fight would you attack with your guard down?
jesuskopp 2 years ago
actually yes you can attack with your guard down and very successfully at that,
1- it makes your punch faster
2- it makes your punch harder
3- it keeps your punches hidden and hard to see
4- can be adapted to other applications that are more complicated
good question, happy training :)
