@stdeath11 Not sure. But the ipod plays videos and views just about any website you can think of. They zune completely sucks in this aspect. Literally, it's almost worthless. It takes forever to read something online (which reading and viewing pictures is all it does). And you usually can even read the small font without zooming way in.
but the thing he didnt talk about is that the zune hd and the itouch are both using the SAME internet and one device could be taking up all the speed which in this case it was the ipod then it let the zune use the internet after the ipod was done loading its page to make the zune look slower
but u can go to setting and click internet and then when u see content it would say mobile and click and it will change the content to decsk top like a regualar computer

The whole idea behind my argument was that at their core, they are both MP3 players, and if you are using them mainly for music it pretty much comes down to which UI, price, amount of storage, etc. you prefer.

Is the sound on the Zune much better? I've had an ipod touch for a while and now the sound's starting to cut out (odd, it never truly broke like most people) so I'm planning on a Zune since I got rather annoyed dealing with apple's software
there's a reason for the ipod touch to rotate so "slow": it prevents from unwanted rotating when you accidentally tilt it. No matter which iOS device you're using, whether it's the first iPhone or iPad 2, the rotating speed has always had this same delay.
The zune hd has so much potential... The interface is so much better than ios and the implementation of various technologies is so much better. I love the look of it but if the screen wasnt so damn small it would sell like hotcakes
U can watch quicktime videos in ipod os, and for the iphone and other ios devices, u can get a third party web browser. The newest ios devices are 1.5 to 2 times as fast. I verified that it can be twice as fast, too. I like ios. Iv tried zunes, and do not like them
about the zune. something he messed up on is that, the keyboard does work in land scape, you just have to tilt it to the side before you start using the keyboard. if you start it upright, you can't switch it to landscape while typing. hope this makes sense.
the zune has very bad wifi and there no tabs...i got the zune because i got the 32 gb for cheaper and it was either 32 gb zune or 8gb ipod... most of the time the zune doesnt even load the page and it can only loadSOME pages.

I'm not saying iPods suck, I just prefer the Zune mostly cause it's a bit smaller and fits in my pocket better. iPod definitely rapes when it comes to apps, but the Zune was cheaper plus I like the smaller perks that it has that iPod doesn't like artist bios as well as pictures for all of the artists. the keyboard works in landscape, but you have to be in landscape before you click on something to type. in zunes settings you can also change the browser from mobile to desktop or vice versa depending on what you wanna view.

However throughout time as my income has changed and my hardware has changed I have found that the service speed has always been the primary factor in most everything internet related including Youtube load time.
I am probably going to be getting the zune hd because I like the oled screen which is great for movie watching. I don't really care about the web browser since I just use my laptop instead if Im at home. Also the price wise for zune hd is better then the ipod touch. They even have a 64gb version! I also like the back finish on the zune cause the ipod touch has a fingerprint magnet back.

A retina display is a 960x640 display, each pixel is 78 micrometres in width, and the contrast ratio is 800:1. I don't realy care what kind of display a pmp has, as long as it looks better, then idc.

The Zune hd is missing online video compatibility, facetime, internal speakers, I can't think of anything else honestly, if you can contribute to the list please do so. the iPod Touch also misses a subscription service, wireless sync (not to big a feature but it can be useful sometimes) again, if you can contribute to that list that would be helpful. The Zune hd give you more bang for your buck, for people who do not have money to spend on ipod touches. It gives a better media experience, because the videos and music quality is beautiful, the apps are very scarce, but are all free, and will keep you busy.

I agree with you that the ipod touch 4g is better than the zune hd, but headphones are by far the most decisive factor in how good the music sounds. You really don't know what you're missing out on until you buy some good headphones and compare.

I myself have an ipod 4g but i really think i should have gone with a hd because it concentrates more on the simplicity and music unlike the ipod thats a more all around balanced item. and besides the ipods key features all feed off of an internet connection unlike the hd you can listen to the radio anywhere you are at. I regret getting the ipod because the hd has a way beter interface, i am trully annoyed by the ios square like interface, besides the hd really unleashes the power of music more.

U can watch quicktime videos in ipod os, and for the iphone and other ios devices, u can get a third party web browser. The newest ios devices are 1.5 to 2 times as fast. I verified that it can be twice as fast, too. I like ios. Iv tried zunes, and do not like them

about the zune. something he messed up on is that, the keyboard does work in land scape, you just have to tilt it to the side before you start using the keyboard. if you start it upright, you can't switch it to landscape while typing. hope this makes sense.

the keyboard works in landscape, but you have to be in landscape before you click on something to type. in zunes settings you can also change the browser from mobile to desktop or vice versa depending on what you wanna view.

I am probably going to be getting the zune hd because I like the oled screen which is great for movie watching. I don't really care about the web browser since I just use my laptop instead if Im at home. Also the price wise for zune hd is better then the ipod touch. They even have a 64gb version! I also like the back finish on the zune cause the ipod touch has a fingerprint magnet back.

for example a 50$ player with 200$ headphones will sound better than a 200$ player with 50$ headphones.

of course, i've owned the sansa clip, and the iaudio 7, both are focused on sound quality rather than touch screen or cool gadgets.
The headphones are what makes most of the difference.

I myself have an ipod 4g but i really think i should have gone with a hd because it concentrates more on the simplicity and music unlike the ipod thats a more all around balanced item. and besides the ipods key features all feed off of an internet connection unlike the hd you can listen to the radio anywhere you are at. I regret getting the ipod because the hd has a way beter interface, i am trully annoyed by the ios square like interface, besides the hd really unleashes the power of music more.

there is a way to change if web pages load in mobile or desktop, its in the settings under internet. and the keyboard can be used in landscape, turn it landscape first. dam u suck

Zune HD's browser is SH**!!! Zune HD is for people who can't afford an iPod Touch and are jealous that the fact that the iPod Touch has 5 Billion apps while the Zune has only 40 apps! Hahahahaha!!!! @Thechosenone705 The Ipod touch 4g's has great screen resolution. Zune people can't even using the Oled screen argument anymore. The sound quality on the ipod touch is great too. The ipod classic/nano's sound quality is crap and they assume that the touch's sound quality sound like those...WRONG!!! The only thing Zune hd has is the hdmi port. Oh wait, who connects their music player to the television in the first place??? LMFAO.

Not only that but when iPods are jailbroken the only good thing for them is free apps and the ability to change homescreen backgrounds (plus a few other tweaks) but when you "jailbreak" (or hack) a Zune HD you have access to Windows CE (Zune HD runs its interface on-top of WinCE) (continued)
