  • I saw this in 1975 at the Drive-ins with my babysitter and her boyfriend. I was 9 at the time and they had to take me along because she was babysitting me. We were in a 1969 Camaro SS396. This movie was AWESOME, it (movie) plus that 69 Camaro SS396 got me into first gen Camaros. Today, I have a 1969 Camaro Z/28. I love the 67,68, & 69's with my heart!! plus I have the DVD to this.

  • Thank you, phantom5691!!

It made me cry too, when I saw it. I was lucky enough to see it with a friend who had it.

It should be rated right up there with American Graffiti.

  • Love this film and song. Apart from the story, bit of a car lover myself and there's a clip where Bobby's friend is attending to his pick up, there's a great sunset and the hood lowers automatic, sure of it, if I remember correctly! The piano playing in this song is great too. And the days of hot-roddin', bliss all round...

  • All American Classic !!.

Floyd Mutrux is a Celluloid Artist.

Gotta get the remastered dvd from Amazon.

  • This movie had a profound effect on me when I was young. I saw it at the drive-in with my friends. I credit this movie with teaching me to love cars, (and Paul Lemat ;-)). And I'll never EVER forget the ending.........

    Thanks for uploading this clip.

  • I'm in Australia and strongly desire a copy ofr the movie. Film and Benny both strong links with past.
