I come to listen to this great song and see the video of it and all I see is endless arguements about grunge and hair metal.
Both of them were fucking great music styles! I love glam metal, it's really great music for having fun! And I love grunge, it's really great to listen when you are feeling you need some great, agressive music or you are not in a partying mood.
I'd rather listen to both of those genres than recycled powerchords of today's pop bands, too much samesounding music nowadays.

Right on man! That's what I like to hear. Everything from the mid 80's-early 90's all got lumped into the "HAIR BAND" label. A lot of good music came out then,also a lot of bad,but hang in there and keep at it.

This era of rock, 80s and very early 90s is the best ever. Grudge sucked when it was new, and still sucks. I never bought a grudge CD, I never knew what all the hype was, just less talent in my opinon. Most new "rock" has no guitar leads, sad. Rock on Great White.

Wasn't the problem with the record companies rather the fans? Grunge was the new "bright and shiny object" that every label had to have. It was so heavily promoted and people bought into it. Even news papers had articles on the grunge fashion. In my opinion, GW got mixed in with the 80's glam/metal scene when they should have stood alone as a really good, almost southern rock band. Oh Well....what the hell do I know?? Great song though!!

Still not everything from the 90's sucked, some of the Grunge bands were technically proficient and shouldn't have been labeled as Grunge like Candlebox.
Kurt Cobain basically played 3 chords, and not very well either. Heavy metal was far superior to grunge. I'd say KISS outsold Nirvana by leaps and bounds. Metallica outlasted Nirvana.

Saw them last week in Denver - still one of the absolute best bands in rock and roll. Pay attention little ones - this is how it should be done. Powerful thudding rhythm, hooky guitars, meaningful but not whiny lyrics, an actual melody! and a killer voice. This album didn't get enough attention 'cause grunge was starting to take over. They didn't play anything off this album at the bar last week, but it was still a near-perfect rock show. Go see them!!

Power metal has pretty much always survived, but for some reason is not given commercial attention.
Look up some of these bands, Circus Maximus, Threshold, Vanden Plas, Royal Hunt, Symphony X, Silent Call, Pagan's Mind, Pyramaze/Avian, Darkwater, Tomorrow's Eve, Conception and others.

@bodomfan1 Spot on. I remember hearing Smells Like Teen Spirit the first time and thinking, "........What the fuck was that?" Nu-metal is even worse than grunge though. Sliding your palm over all 6 strings while the drummer crashes the snare over and over IS NOT METAL. And forget solos, because to play a solo you need to KNOW HOW TO PLAY GUITAR. Kurt Cobain basically played 3 chords, and not very well either. Heavy metal was far superior to grunge. I'd say KISS outsold Nirvana by leaps and bounds. Metallica outlasted Nirvana.
The days of the great rockers are over...there are no new bands that can top Guns n Roses.

Great White Rocks ! Definitely an underrated band, Check out the MTV unplugged version of the Led. Zep. cover song "girl I'm going to leave you". The guitar player made the band. The drummer's histrionics are ridiculous but par for the course for the 80s.

Saw them last week in Denver - still one of the absolute best bands in rock and roll. Pay attention little ones - this is how it should be done. Powerful thudding rhythm, hooky guitars, meaningful but not whiny lyrics, an actual melody! and a killer voice. This album didn't get enough attention 'cause grunge was starting to take over. They didn't play anything off this album at the bar last week, but it was still a near-perfect rock show. Go see them!!
