  • Sick!

  • u know when i was young i had lice and my mom would comb these suckers out then she would burn them. and the thing is you can hear them pop!

  • cool :D

  • euughgh

  • Eeew!!! Gross! those thing crawl in people's hair!!!

  • Ya think?

  • get the nitty gritty nit comb it breaks the little legs off them as it pulls them out of the hair and it gets every singl hatched and un hatched egg out of the hair seriously buy one

  • Um, no... As you can see from this video, the louse's legs are quite intact... And, most unfortunately, no matter how carefully you comb through the hair, you wind up with a few nits that you will find the next day... Very frustrating...

  • @bubblybabs, as @routex7044 said, the nitty gritty comb is DESIGNED to break the legs off.. thats what its supposed to do - it works!

  • @xolozziibaybee it didnt here lol

  • @routex7044 No it doesn't. I combed one out last night and watched it crawl out from between the teeth of the comb then quickly run up to the handle.

  • Made me feel itchy.

  • i think i got nits from this girl at school... AND WERE BOTH 14 :l I used her brush and a week later i was itching!

lol, as long as i dont got any, Lice are cool ^_^

  • You are too funny! Quirky comment to be sure!

  • wasnt overly funny, lool

    just abit funny xD

  • their not f***ing cool. i got 'em and they are horrible and hard to get rid of. i hope you get them.

  • IT LOOKS LIKE A SPIDER TO ME.

  • Yeah, I can see how it could... But when you see them in real life you know they aren't...

  • Most Asians like myself dont get them really. In the Philippines we use either light coconut or olive oil in the hair. For some reason they die when we use this?! Dont ask me why coz I dont know... hehe! But ya, really it works! And its not pricey like the liquid shampoo in the stores. We work with what we got, the cheep way...hehe! :)

  • uck i have NEVER gottin head lice! and i take a shower every day is that too clean??

  • No, but your question shows you are too ignorant... Look up whether head lice like clean hair or dirty hair...

  • u can take a shower every second u can still get lice from ppl around u

  • can anyone tell me can lice live if they are not on a head....ie if they are on a pillow etc

    thanks

If they can, for how long

    thanks again

  • Only a few days... I had one live in a cup (experiment) for a few days but that was all... I read somewhere that if you can leave your house for a week your home will be lice free because they all die w/o a host... Of course, you'd have to treat yourself in the interim...

  • Al principio tambien se puede notar una liendre un poco mas arribade donde estaba el piojo

  • I hope the online translator worked right:

No estoy seguro si fuera un idiota o una reflexión...

  • uhh what Ruben is saying that in the beginning you can see something above the lice. Trust me I am hispanic! <33

  • I was trying to say I thought it was just a reflection above the louse but now that I just converted my reply I have to say that online converters aren't all that great! How funny...

  • hmmm lovely ... ive had these a few times and every time i see one it makes my head itch :P

  • did u know each female louse 40 odd eggs a week :O and also a female louse only needs to have sex once in there entire life ( about 1 month ) and can keep laying eggs each week.

  • No, didn't know that... If this is true I appreciate your posting... One site I found said that lice live for about 30 days with the female laying up to 8 nits a day...

  • srry for the astupid question but i've been wondering,if you have to many lice, can you die cause of it?!?

  • Hmmmm... I don't know.... I would imagine if you were so badly infested, had tons of bites, and got a secondary infection in your blood then yes, technically you could say you died due to being infested with lice... But you've have to be a moron not to shave every hair off of your body before you got to that point...

  • Oh ok thanks!

  • Wow, I haven't ever seen one up close like that B4. Thanx 4the video, now i know what it looks like and how evil they look.

  • there is no such thing as lice - don't believe the hype consumers

  • May you have a case someday, just once, so you can retract this comment...

  • I debated on whether or not to approve this comment but felt it was your opinion though it could have been said a little more sophisticated manner...

  • lol

  • i never want lice

  • wow i would hate to have a bunch of those in my hair

  • where do lice come from?

like how do i avoid gettin em?

  • um. get rid of flys. because lice/louse cling on flys for transportation.

  • "um. get rid of flys. because lice/louse cling on flys for transportation."

Surely you jest sniper11235... Please show proof of this because the only way I know of to get lice is to be in contact w/ someone who has them or an article of clothing of theirs or even sit in a chair shortly after them...

  • i cant find proof for you now do to my complete lazyness, but just think...how did that lice get to the person who gave them to you...also, watch the south park episode about lice, and youl soon see what i mean.

  • South Park?! 'Nuff said...

  • im not saying southpark knows everything, but u have to see the episode to see what i mean...

  • My apologies to gina942 for not replying to her questions right away... You can get them from sharing a coat or comb with someone who is infested... You can get them by lying next to someone who has them (hence kindergardeners being so susceptible) or sitting on furniture that someone who is infested recently vacated... It's hard to avoid them other than to not share things and to keep your head away from susceptible places!

  • why would you do such a thing such as delete my coment? that was horible!

  • "why would you do such a thing such as delete my coment? that was horible!"

I do not approve of comments that I consider rude or feel are made maliciously... I would imagine your comment (though I do not recall what it was) fell into one of those categories... My lice movies are up to help others learn how to identify a lice infestation, not for immature commentary...

  • um. it didnt fall into any catagory. i said how lice travel.

  • wow, ok thanks. if its not like treated or something right away, what can they do?

like can they eat your brain to death or something? (sorry, im a bit stupid XP)

  • "if its not like treated or something right away, what can they do?

like can they eat your brain to death or something?"

Not a stupid question. They won't eat into your brain or anything though you can wind up w/ some very ugly sores from scratching & their bites. Neck & head lymph nodes can become markedly enlarged & a secondary infection can set up making one quite ill though this is uncommon. My one daughter had enlarged lymph nodes, my other did not...

  • wow you must of had a lot of those guys

  • ALWAYS, boil lice comb for 15-20 min after treatments!

  • (Continuation)

People email me telling me they use RID or other lice products mixed in with their shampoo.... All they are doing is diluting the medication and making the lice resistant...

Also, the nit (egg) life cycle is 7-10 days... If you only shampoo and nit pick for 7 days you will become reinfested within a month... You must be diligent and treat for lice for at least 2 weeks to ensure you have captured/killed all of the lice and the nits that have hatched...

    Babs

  • This comment split into 2 due to the 500 character restraint:

If you do not get down to the scalp with the shampoo you will do nothing but wash out any lice that don't have a good grip and are down the hair shaft... If shampooing (some people email me about TeeTree Oil) with anything were effective then there wouldn't be a lice problem like there is... The main problem is the stigmatism of the situation and the lack of understanding of how to get rid of them effectively...

    CONT'D

  • DENOREX EXTRA STRENGTH SHAMPOO will KILL the lice, then u can comb with a metal nit comb (can be found at Wal*Mart). Do this every day for about a week or until they're gone. There is no pesticides involved with this process. The eggs will dry out and if for some reason they don't, if they hatch, they will die when hair is washed with DENOREX shampoo.

  • I wish there was a product that kils the lice eggs. My mom can't get them out! I mean its like hard to see them. Almost impossible to see them. You see them, then you loose them.
