  • are you still selling the sg 400 by epiphone please name a price i want your guitar so bad its a beautiful guitar

  • Korea or China?

  • your guitar is vry beautifull !!

  • @Supernovaa how much is the SG?

  • Never stop playing !! NEVER !

  • Don't stop playing!

  • Just got me this guitar. But it's the Gibson :P

  • Hey dude, as a father of 2 kids and happily married, keep your gear as a guy needs a hobby to stay balanced and happy, and your brain is stimulated when you play also.....chill dude,,,you sounded good!!

  • Nice playing sir, you have convinced me finally to get one. I was undecided for a while

  • Todays Epiphone SG's and Lp's are some of the very best guitars made on the plannet. 2010 and 2011 have proven that. The only real down fall with Epiphone is there guitars are so under priced its pathetic. Gibsons are not at all any better than Epiphone.

  • Thumbs up if You got Epiphone SG G400 CH or EB :-)

  • @SammyBeniuga You are so right. That's why i've quit and am selling up

  • @Supernovaa didn't mean to offend sorry, don't sell them, invest into a good amp if you need something better, you don't play bad,is just how they sound.Anyways you can try something heavier, blues are annoying, except Alex Hutchings.

  • @Supernovaa ...your joking right? you didn't really quit.

  • @TheNightmareman94 Kinda have. Priorities have changed (have a wife and son) and I'm not feeling very inspired musically anymore. Not picked up a guitar in a long time. The SG and Vintage Les Paul's are currently up for sale. Hopefully one day I will find that spark again and get back into playing but for now I'm taking a break

  • @Supernovaa Don't sell the guitars.....when you do get the spark back..you'll regret selling them! Don't do it! Trust me! Kick ass playing btw!

  • @Supernovaa Dude, don't sell your shit, youll regret it, trust me...

  • @Supernovaa You're mad, keep playin them blues.

  • @Supernovaa hey man is that sg top heavy?

  • @Supernovaa Don't give it up man. i went through what u are and sold alot of my guitars but regretted it later down the road. but luckily i am now aquiring some stuff back. i have to have music in my life, its as important as breathing.

  • @Supernovaa That is a shame.

Don't let every day life make you old brother.

  • im getting a alpine white one

    :)

  • I want one :(

  • hi, is this guitar good for playing riffs? (sorry for the noob question, im just going from acoustic to electric.)

  • @fuzz25ify any guitar is, i;v had this guitar for 2 years, its awesome. But i made some changes to mine.

  • @fuzz25ify I would say all electric guitars are good for playing riffs

  • @fuzz25ify it's an awesome beginner guitar for the price (around 350 bucks), and it will last forever

  • should i get a SG or a eppiphone 100 series i wanna play blues jazz and rock and a little metal thanks someone

  • Seems you played in a different key-scale than your backing track from the start, lol

  • dont get people who say you cant play stuff on certain guitars. bullshit, my friend plays jazz on an explorer and it sounds amazing

  • is this guitar good for beginners?

  • Check out ac dc my man angus young kills it with metal. Well actually rock and roll but lol

  • how well would this guitar do for metal? I know, I know, the guitar doesn't make the genre playable or not, but I'm skeptical about an SG, though I love 'em.

  • @ChodaEyesburn Err, no problem. I was commenting on your interesting username. Perhaps we're not seeing eye to eye on this. You are aware of the meaning of "choda", right? Check it in Urban Dictionary if you're not...

  • @ChodaEyesburn Hi, sure I'm not the first to note it but you have one nasty-ass username! It made me laught out loud ;)

  • thanks to this vid, I just decided to buy this guitar...

I wasn't sure weather i should buy myself the Epiphone Les Pauls Standard or this one...But this looks a lot cooler in my opinion, and sounds damn nice ;)

  • @ChodaEyesburn £189 from thomann.de

  • r epiphone guitars made in the u.s ???

  • @123456jdude no there made in korea i think.

  • @guitardude6609 I wouldn't recommend the epiphone les paul 100 , better get the g-400 SG imo.

  • I have the VS6 and love it. I cant comment on any comparison to the epiphone, but depending on where your reading your review you will get people espousing the virtues of the VS6 over the epiphone. Like I said I wouldnt know personally but if you lumping out your cash and have the means to try the guitars first thats what Id do. You cant beat having the product in your hands for a direct comparison. Even if you arent purchasing from your local shop if they have both models get a test drive!!

  • I want that badboy so hard Dx

  • Hey man, nice playing :) I have a question, I'm in a foreign country and I'm having a G400 shipped. The reason I'm saying this is because I have no way of testing the guitar before it gets here and returning it is out of the question due to the high price of shipping internationally. I have no problem with the sound, but do you think this guitar will last? Any reply would be appreciated :) Cheers.

  • @mixpebz Hey cool I already found this question on another video :) I will buy this guitar too. I am so happy.

I already own a cheap beginner guitar. But I somehow dont like the sound of it... Have fun with yours...

  • @XLosSantosX yeah i kinda posted it in SG reviews to get different opinions :) it's a nice guitar. the only problem for me is the neck dive. the headstock hit the floor when i was clapping my hands but a straplock really solved it. thanks :)

  • that a strat on the sofa there?

  • gibson owns epiphone whats the difrene? is it just that gibson is more known and thats why it is so muck more expencive im going to buy a sg tomorrow a epiphone is ot the right choice pleace anwser me anyone :)

  • @no1isperfect4anyone

Gibson model guitars have higher quality parts. The epiphone model is cheaper because cheaper parts are used. Maybe even cheaper labour not sure on that. But there is a definite difference. To many that difference translates in the overall look, feel and sound of the instrument. It depends what your looking for out of the instrument and the level you play at. That said even Gibson occasionally put out flawed guitars which is why many people dont buy blind.

  • @outofslumber Not always. You are paying mostly for USA wages and labor. Labor is cheap as hell in Korea and China. The electronics in a guitar are only a small portion of the cost. Making the actual guitar(neck, body) is where the labor is. I swapped out all the electronics in my Epi for Gibson and it sounds EXACTLY the same as it did before the switch. Epi's are cheaper for more reasons then cheap parts.

  • This or an Epiphone Les Paul Studio?

  • what song is this>?

  • I love this guitar :D

  • Hey can you please respond? I got an SG custom and how do you prevent the head weight from making the guitar slide down while using a strap? Do you have like strap locks?

  • haha...i love your face expression through out the whole thing :) lol anyways...awesome guitar!

  • Have had 2 Ibanez GIOs (GAX & GA) and their quality is nowhere near the Epi SGs. GIO really cheap especially the crappy machine heads. Nice playing man.

  • General rule of thumb: STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM EPIPHONES

  • There is another guitar at bottom left.

  • What settings are your volume and tone switches set to?

  • MIKE BLOOMFIIIEELLD

  • what kind of amp do you use?

  • I was thinkin about getting a ephiphone les paul 100 with either a line 6 spyder or a marshall amp. My budget is 500$ so i guess I have some room cause at first I was going to get a strat but then I saw the ovation and was like OMG I need that then, I see the ephiphone les paul and was like DAMN I need that. so any suggestions on a good guitar set up for less that $500? maybe even the ephiphone sg

  • @timothyga01 you should get a better guitar such as an ibanez gio

they are much easier to play

  • hello, I can say about EPIPHONE SG G400., do you think is worth buying one? "sujieres me? or you could tell me better? I hope your answer.

one more thing, how much did it cost?

  • Brilliant, would love to hear johnny be good on that!

I'm not personally keen on the shape of the guitar, I'm more of a semi-hollow body type.

  • Nice!

Is it the lighting or is that color a darker red than usual?

  • Hey nice playing. Did you something with your Guitar so the neck doesn't always falls down (top-heavy)? I've got this problem with mine and I don't know how to fix it.

    Maybe you can help me?

  • the guitars looks like mine xD

  • great tone and playing.

  • is this guitar good at clean tones, for jazz and blues?

  • @tom27j yeah man it's awesome for everything you can throw anything at it, make sure to have a good amp, on digital amps the humbuckers can be too hot for a clean setting

  • *poker face throughout entire performance*

  • This epiphone is mde in korea, right?

  • i bought this guitar on black two days ago xd

  • @luigirodriguez10 hey did u get the black only or the white and black looking one?

  • @sharkyblue97 i got the black only (:

  • I have this guitar. Swapped the stock bridge pickup for a seymore duncan JB humbucker and it fucking rocks. You can get a good crunch out of it and play rock and blues well.

  • I also have this awesome guitar in here :D

G400 in Pitch Black, but i don't get, why everyone just uploads vids, playing some Blues oder jazz witz this awesome pieve of Hardcore and metal guitar -.-

but Ok the guitar is great ^^

  • i think you should expand your horizons a bit. you've demonstrated that you can use the pentatonic scale well, so move on to the dorian mode etc. it will make your guitar playing flow nicely when you incorporate different scales and modes into your solos.

  • You're playing blues on an SG? You kidding me? Play some Metallica!

  • @CaptainBorris Ehm Angus Young playes a lot of blues, it's "his" guitar not hammet he does esp.

hendrix loved sg he liked blues to, not to mention clapton he played an sg during his cream years

So yes you can and you should play blues on an SG and metallica ofcourse

  • wow very nice play and sweet sound . what strings you use in that epi ?

  • Yours is well more shiny then mine D:

  • great playing dude! does this guitar have a slim or fat neck?

  • is that color cherry?

  • should i get this or the jackson js32 they are both the same price of £220

  • @goldenguy12345 wow thats what im trying to choose from tell me which one you got if you already got it lol

so you can help me make the right choice lol peace

  • How much did you buy this?

  • i have explosive diahreah everytime i play my epiSG

  • your heads big (in size)

  • The guitar is totally awesome for beginners, I have one myself. It has some minor fret issues, but it sure is great for the price.

  • @fusion952 What kind of fret issues are we talking? Im seriously considering buying one, but I wanna make the right choice.

  • @kirra426 Umm... Well. I'll try explaining. I don't know the proper english words, but imagine having the guitar being in tune when you play in 2nd fret and not being in tune when you play 14th.

It's not on every guitar, but the chance is there. If you're a beginner I'd say you should totally go for it. If you're a pro shredder, don't.

The thing about the frets is a problem on just about every guitar you can get in that price range. Anyways, the problem is minimal OR it doesn't exist. Depends.

  • Sounds great! I can't wait until I get mine!!

  • Are the ebony ones exactly the same? is the colour the only difference?

  • @Seleukos1209 Are you speaking about the Gothic model? Or maybe the Tony Iommi Signature? Both of those have different pickups and such. I mean, they're different models. But if you just mean the Ebony finish on the G-400, then no. THAT is just a colour. And no, I haven't spelt that wrong, I'm just on the East side of the Atlantic.

  • @Seleukos1209 the volume and tone knobs are place like 2 millimeters more sqaure but other than that there are no differences

  • i love sSGs but i just fucking hate epiphones headstock!!!! Is so fucking ugly!

  • I've bought this guitar in Lefthanded version, arrives today!!!!

  • i love my g-400 it is so awesome you paly waaaaay better than i do though

  • what guitar do u recomend for me i will join a band!

  • @TheXtremeGamer90 If you are seriously looking to join a band then surely you are already a good guitarist and know what sort of guitars suit your playing style and the kind of music you are trying to play?

  • @sathos rock ballands and something like this!

  • cool improvisation! btw i'm just ordered this guitar, but is there a good sound in the guitar for, like , jimi hendrix songs

  • Hi. I wanted to know what you think best guitar because I know you got the two from which I want to buy. The Epiphone G400 SG or Epiphone Dot ES-335?

  • you look so bored...

  • is it good in pinch harmonics ?

  • NO ENTIENDO PORUQE TAN ENOJADO EL TIPO, QUE ES AWEONAO, APARTE SE NOTA QUE SE APRENDIO LAS ESCALAS PENTATONICAS HACE 1 MES JAJAJJAJAAJJJA

  • @Supernovaa I love my sg, i got the worn brown sg, but i found that the pups were a little weak/tinny, i used to play out of a line 6 spider iv, but now i play out of a marshall MG15FD limited edition, what are your thoughts on the guitar?

  • I wanna get a new e-guitar and I was thinking of an epi g-400 OR the vintage vs6 I wanna make the right choice

  • @MrRockGod100 ROFL. What a question. They're really about equivical to each other, although the Epi has a cleaner sound. Really though, They're both great. It just depends which one you find cheaper. One thing I would say is that the Epiphone Vintage G-400 (The ones with the Worn Cherry and Worn Brown finishes) are just the same as the regular G-400s for a good chunk of money less. These also have the advantage of the matte, "Worn" finishes, which are easier to maintain than glossy finishes.

  • @MrRockGod100 I would encourage you to Google around, there's lots of discussion about this on guitar forums. At the end of the day though, I would say if you find one cheaper than the other, go for it. They're both great.

  • @MrRockGod100 You can't go wrong with either. I own 2 Vintage V100s and have also played the VS6 - they are great guitars. The white ones with gold hardware looks awesome

  • @Supernovaa i also own a vintage v100 but im selling it to get this guitar. Dont get me wrong, the vintage v100 is a good guitar but it just weighs too much in my opinion.

  • Comment removed

  • @Supernovaa

i have read a lot about epiphone and it says that sometimes the electronics don't work and only allows one pick up to work. so I am iin two minds if I should get the g400

  • @MrRockGod100 GET EPIPHONE SG G-400 is very very epic guitar see my channel for the video of me reviewing it :)

  • @MrRockGod100 IF ANYONE WANTS ONE HIT ME UP

  • i heard sg's hav problems wid the way the neck joins the body?? is this a serious problem??

  • well done man nice demo

  • can you play these Epiphones live?

  • is it me or does the neck seem longer than normal ?? I've got the Gibson EB Bass, lovely guitar

  • Hey, looks nice...are these guitars pretty good as they are quite cheap....is there anything that you would think would make them better

  • @stevoe1000 I would chuck in some slightly better pickups, but then if they were to do that you'd have a beast every bit as good as, if not better than, most of Gibson's range. In fact, I would encoourage anyone looking at the Gibson SG Special or even the higher end models to cut the cost and buy a G-400 and some high quality pickups. Would save a hell of a lot of cash, if you're not a badge hog and you need a Gibson logo on it. Anyway, it's still a great guitar, and I highly recommend it.

  • the only problem i have with this guitar is i struggle getting the right tone for songs like can't stop by red hot chili peppers :·/ other wise it is a great guitar.

  • nice guitars

  • how much was that?

  • like the guitar. check out our page

  • Sounds good.. I like how solid and deep the chords go..

  • Why did you quit, you're great

  • can you tell me please, if the weight of the head stock (everybody seems to say that's heavy) has some influence on the playability of the guitar? thanks

  • Try to go on a bit from using that triplet all the time.

also...use your wrist to produce the tremelo more than just your finger.

  • heineken?

  • @Nabucodonosor21 Tuborg

  • Is that a Tuborg I can see in the left corner? Are you danish?

  • @taraldsvik It's Tuborg. I'm British but I brought it back from a Serbian trip

  • @Supernovaa Serbia FTW !!!

  • @Supernovaa fuckin good playin dude

  • @taraldsvik

    made with icelandic water!!!!!

  • between a epi les paul and a g400 which would you recomend ?

  • @thedonutholes69 deffinately the les paul

  • Im planing to sell my GRG270B, and buying this G400.. I kinda fell in love. :P

P.S. Good playing. Cheers man. ;)

  • Yeah=D

  • damn and this thing is only 300 dollars at guitar center. very good epiphone product i would say

  • I got this guitar on layby it is awesome.

  • How much did you pay for it?

  • dude your a badass.

  • @TheGibsonRocker120

I want to kno too xD Maybe the neck is not straight and that causes problems

Or the strings are to far from the neck that can be a porb too

  • How tall are you?

  • is this guitar well balanced?

  • You look more like a person who uses gibson.

  • like no soul but good playing i guess

  • BEAUTIFULL GUITARR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    YOU PLAY VERY NICE, Congrulations!

  • im trying to choose between epiphone sg g400 andd epiphone lp standard any help?

    thx

  • So you eat plectrums for breakfest

  • what cream tune r u playing

  • should i save money and buy an epiphone? or get a jackson dinky???

  • @talbott4 its all in what tone you crave. if u play more metal than anything else i would go with the dinky. but this sg can play metal as well i have played it

  • ill probly get that for my next guitar, but i also want a les paul : /, hard choice

  • @XSilentC0reX : white would look pretty awesome! everyone else already has a red one.

  • Hey supernova would you rate this guitar as alright or pretty good. Because im thinking of getting one soon oh and also is it a verstile guitar, can you play more than one genre, such as jazz blues soft rock and of course heavy metal and rock. very good video btw

  • is the epiphone G-400 neck heavy?

  • @musicfan101ful yes i have one and it is neck heavy, be sure to get strap locks and be careful if you get it. but its awesome and worth it for the guitar

  • @musicfan101ful I have one too and yes... it is... if I'm sitting down itll just tilt that way if I'm not holding it

  • did you also find the bridge pickup muddy as hell?
