  • This video will help me a lot, I'm a new pool player and I'm glad you took the time to make this, thank you.

  • I came to YouTube to see if there were any videos for pool practice. You have shared something with all these that we can use every day for practice. I expect to do better in all my shots after using these drills. I will come back in the future to thank you again and update you on my own results. Thanks so much for sharing what you know. Barbara

  • Awesome Man! Wish I had my own table :)

  • thats cool

  • Great video thanks! Her is a fun one for you to watch!

  • hola! Cómo hace para que la bola blanca se devuelva? cuál es el efecto que le aplica? No entiendo eso! hello, there is something basic that I do not understand, how does he do for the cue ball is back in contact with the other ball? What kind of effect do you? Thanks a loto!!

  • u taught me alot. thanks......

  • speed a bit off for me but it is a great video and should be included in everybodys warmup routine.

  • this is the best video of yours ive seen, some of the others r not as clear, uve got some glaire off the cloth & the early vids the cloth colour is awfull does not show the balls up at all, but this vid fantastic cloth colour very clear, no light glare off the cloth, spot on, keep it up, ive also noticed the development of your pool room over the vids, chair, cue rack carpet etc, fantastic man

  • same here !! well done!!

  • Extremely hard drill, I don't normally post comments but you deserve it. Thanks for the encouragement. Keep it up.

  • Nice work ForceFollow. As a snooker player, I know the hardest thing about 9-ball is positional play. Just saw your video Carl - no wonder you say you find 9 Ball pockets easy, your table has buckets!!! They must be twice standard cut. You even had to stop the cue ball running into the middle pocket off the second ball - which should have missed by a foot. I will believe your 7 out of 10 racks when you post them.

  • @MrHayster147 9 ball is a joke when you can play snooker

  • @360cbh Let's joke for a few dollars ;)

  • Another great drill!

    Thank you.

  • great drill keep up the good work . i know mose of us love it.

  • also, i can see your a tallented player, and did'nt mean to sound unappreciative of a fellow billiard player, i just find nine ball tables easy for me..............

  • i played my first game of nine ball recently, and broke and cleared in 7 out of ten games.you can afford to miss by three, four inchs on the corner pots, yet they go in!!!!!!!!! i got a few video's up. type in 'holyheads Carl Evans playing snooker ', and carl evans playing pool......

  • I really despise folks who come on here and post asinine and puerile comments about things that don't even have a direct bearing on the subject at hand.

EVOSTICK1969 - why don't YOU post up a similar video and share with all of us here your extraordinary Billiard skills? I'm sure all of American Pool players would like to see just how skillful and talented a REAL Billiards / Snooker / Carom player can be ... especially on precision drills requiring ball placement and shape.

  • not being funny, but the pockets are like buckets, do it on an english table and i'll clap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You're talking about two completely different types of tables, not to mention two completely different types of games, dude. English Billiards / Snooker / Carom uses SMALLER balls so, yes, the pockets on an English Billiards table are going to be smaller and tighter by design. American Billiards (Pool) uses a larger ball, consequently ... the pockets are going to be like "buckets'" to a person who shoots snooker, et. al. Not even in the same league or category.

    Fucking DUH.

  • @ClubQBall

Not taking sides here, but it's a bit misleading to just say "smaller balls, smaller pockets" and that pool uses bigger balls so has bigger pockets. In pool the pockets are bigger in relation to the balls than in snooker. All about proportion!

  • And that's EXACTLY what I said in my post ... or did you not read it completely? =)

"Carom uses SMALLER balls so, yes, the pockets on an English Billiards table are going to be smaller and tighter by design. American Billiards (Pool) uses a larger ball, consequently ... the pockets are going to be like "buckets'" to a person who shoots snooker, et. al."

You just stated the same exact thing I did ... just in a different manner and method.

  • I did read it completely and I disagree that it was exactly what you said, even if you intended it that way.

Phrasing it as you did suggested that the bigger balls necessitate the bigger pockets, but a pool table could be made with smaller pockets that are equally as tight as a snooker tables in relation to the balls. All that matters is the proportion, not the comparative dimensions of snooker/pool table pockets.

I do agree that the person you were replying to was full of crap, though!

  • Great vid again

  • Excellent practice drill with usefuk comments for the serious pool player,

  • u wish u beat strickland. he can beat you with one hand and one eye open and the other one shut!

  • @crazyyankyisback

"ive beaten strickland and fisher in athens georgia, and tied with archer in winder georgia."

Bullshit. I'll bet you can't run a 9 Ball rack to save your life.

One quick glance at your channel is all you need to know.

Anybody that is good enough to take on those 3 are going to have some signs that they're a fan of the game somewhere in their profile. You've got nothing.

Oh, and the fact that everyone posting on your channel thinks you're a moron doesn't help either...

  • good work

  • very nice looking forward for more pool videos

  • Nice!

  • this was an amazing video! i will definetly try this. I love your videos. Keep them coming 5/5

  • nice drill, i will have to give this a try.

    i believe u can do..

  • hi i found you video super but i have a lot of difficulty getting out of HOOKS one band 2 bands 3 bands could you please make a video to show a technique to get out of a snooker tks in advance

    guy

  • wow... u rate a person's pool skills based on the country they come from... just outta curiosity... what do u think of filipinos and pool?

  • At least we can speak correctly, unlike you. There's not ONE punctuation mark in that entire comment! How embarassing!

  • What kind of glove is he wearing? Anyone with some info please feel free to enlighten me.

  • It is just a simple two-finger glove. It allows the cue to slide very smoothly and controlled through your fingers. you can pick them up at any billiard shop. they help a lot. Whether youre a beginner or pro.

  • looks like fun, i dont play pool that often but next time i play i'l do this

  • thanks I will try to use the force

    roger

  • puto

  • Keep going, just found your videos, really helpful, and I guess it'll teach most viewers(that do not have any experience with this) that positioning the cue ball is a bigger art than mere pocketing. Those are two things new players mistake the most and that's what basicly leads them the wrong way.

  • Great as always!

  • This drill is very humbling. It taught me a lot about my game. Mainly, my force follow shot needs a lot of work. I will keep working on it until it is mine. Keep up the good work.

  • And - of course; Talent, Knowledge and Skill to go with that equipment! Working on new amazing things to rock the billiard world. Stay tuned in 2009! Cheers ~ Oyster

  • The key is to diagram, demonstrate, explain and model. Also you have to be interactive with your audience. Allow your audience to shape what you do. Another thing is not to be proprietary about information. Share and collaborate with other content providers. Rely on advertising and donations for money. You have the potential to be the biggest on the web. Open your channel up and see what happens.

  • I checked him out. He seems a bit more interested in marketing and ego than spreading pool knowledge and a love for the game. We're lucky to have you and Dr. Dave posting great instructional videos. Thank you!

  • You are doing exceptional videos with a true enthusiastic focus for the future of the Cueing Arts! Follow your passion and never give up!

  • Thanks for the comment. Hey, with the equipment that you have you could post more and better stuff than I do.

  • great drill Marcus 5*

  • Great video, looks like a testing drill always good for developing control.

  • Thanks for all your time and effort!

  • awesome drill and execution!shows exactly how to relax and get back into shape without panicking.you can't always rely on perfect position.heck if the cue ball went where we wanted it to instead of where we shot it to we would all be playing for pro championships!!
