can someone help me for my pmdg 747 400 i can only turn stuff to the left and i cant get my fmc to work i dont know the problem so if you have a awnser please pm me thanks
The PMDG 747-400+747-400F I Have Both and THey are Kinda hard to Learn In the Start but i can't use ILS Coze mine Fuckz up if i try Hahahahahahahaha so i Yust Make Waypoints so It Looks like I'm making ILS xD
PMDGs are great aircrafts to fly, I really think they have insane realism and is worth to buy. The only thing they need to add is the camera on the front wheel ( The camera they use when they taxi to follow the lines.) Plus the camera near the rudders ;)!
It's made by a company called precisionmanuals. It is payware and not free, but under priced when you consider the insane level of realism. Level-D makes a great B767, but I think PMDG is my fav.
This one is the 747-400, but they have several,,, 737, MD11, JS41 etc...As far as the planes exterior paint job, that I did myself.
Wish I could, but not much time now a days to even fly it, let alone instruct :(
There is a ton to learn on the 747 but I think that's what makes it more appealing. The program comes with tons of reading and Tutorials. If you have a printer you'll be all set.
Sorry for the very late reply, I have not been on for a lonng time.
I mainly use FSrecorder so I can watch my performance from multiple views. So for instance. I do a 0 vis landing with ILS. I can then load the flight I did and then change the options in FSX, like the weather being 100% vis. I can get a good look at my mistakes that way, or just watch a video over and over but from different views. It's a must have for anyone making videos of FS and really adds to my enjoyment of the sim =)
The speed always depends on the payload, cargo & fuel etc, and of course runway conditions wet or dry, snow,, they to play a roll. The 747-400 with about 1/2 tank of fuel would come in at about 165 mph. With barely any fuel left, I'd say about 123 mph with full flaps and slats
To record the actual video it is Fraps, correct. But most people that make flight sim vidz, first use FSRecorder which records a flight to be played back within FS. This way you can be recording outside views without worry of who's flying :)
Well once again people we have both an idiot that can't read and just a plain hater... If you try actually taking a minute of your precious time to read the description,, or hell, how about the title with "Short Landing" being a dead give away. The landing is less than half of what a 747-400 would ever land at, this was just for fun to see if I could do it as well as a filming project to relearn my Adobe products.
Haha, yeah I just wanted to let ppl see better. I tried editing the vid a few times prior to posting this and was shocked how terrible the quality versus what I uploaded, plus it just throws in a little twist :)
Sounds like your experienced with this bird too aye
It is their Paint kit I downloaded from their website, but with no directions and a couple bugs... You need to have some type of picture editor, I use Adobe Photoshop and have a rather good amount of knowledge in it. It isnt recommended if you nvr used it since it costs a few hundred and does have somewhat a learning curve. Some livery video's are posted here on youtube to get you going. Hope this helps :)
Basically it's the glare off of the lights and the extra glow they give off. It is Spectacular on night landings that truely give an outstanding realistic effect.
i also have this add on and i have problems with it, the computers are black to the cockpit such as altidude indicator and nothing works like the spoilers and flaps, they dont actually deploy when i press f7 or wehatever it dosent work, its like the plane is an image so what ever i do dosent actually show, has this got anything to do with the computer being off at the beggining?
If the flight displays are not showing all of the data and colors it is (as in the real world 744) because the IRS has not yet aligned. If you start "Cold and Dark" with no power etc... you have to do a full start sequence. After all the data is uploaded and a 10 minute wait for IRS alignment your screens come to life. However, there is 1 documented issue to having fulling black screens if the software is not properly register (IE pirated). I would contact support if that's the case.
As far as setting the IRS and doing a full and thorough COMPLETE start up, I am making a tutorial in my spare time, but takes a lot of time, so hopefully it will be done within the next few weeks.
Oh! If you did a tutorial I will worship the cyber-ground that walk on. LOL! Would love to see it. The other tutorials have failed me. Or I am just really a well, dummy. DOH
ok, how do i do a full start sequence, basically all my screens are off when i start and i dont know how to turn them on so i can see the altitude etc
As most people they use several different programs.
First I use FSRecorder when flying, to record the flight so later I can change views etc for better recording without needing to pay attention to flying.
Next I replay it with FSrecorder (often several times to get the right timing and view I need) and use a program called "Fraps" to record.
Finally and the most lengthy part of the process, I use Adobe Premiere to Edit.
I dont do this often and this vid took several hours
Yeah that's true. It's a shame cos I lose about 5 fps when I turn it on but if it's at night I just turn the autogen density down to compensate since you can't see trees in complete darkness anyway! :)
I think I loose more than 5 fps with light bloom, but it's worth it,,, I'll try the same, by turning down Autogen to help, nvr tried that one yet :) I love it most on Taxi, TO & Landings.
Haha, Not til I get "Big Blue" back. When I filmed this I thought of the new user to PMDG so put everything at the default recommended settings. Even though I wanted to throw in a soundtrack and effects to this vid I chose not to since when I watch these in research mode for a new sim I prefer to here the actual sounds and not someones favorite tune. It's half the video. Anyhow, the default is far louder than a real 747-400 in the cockpit. BTW Mike, we need to get drunk this weekend =D
Thanks, they are sweet! Only problem is they are so newly coded that cockpit builders cant use them :'( I see you have lots of X-Plane vidz, how do you compare them to FS?

Hey Danbo342,
How would you use FSrecorder? What's the reason for the FSX flight video/recorder?
It would be appreciated because I want to know if it's worth downloading and using.

Alright, I downloaded it and I don't know what the "recording traffic" is.
What does it do?

dude what is the landing speed of the 747?

Well. Isn't FSrecorder just as good as "Instans replay"?

@maximorel fs recorder makes my game crash when I use traffic playback.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
why didn't you idle the reverse thrust before 60 knots and you idled it after the full stop landing? that was stupid and very unprofessional.
