I worship Meryl Streep, but this was a horrendously misconceived production. Went in absolutely thrilled to be seeing it and anticipating an astonishing evening, and left infuriated by how uncomprehending and utterly tone deaf a production team this brilliant could show themselves to be. Ugh.

Oh my god!!! Amazing! Astonishing. Awesome. Great. The play is so timeless and Meryl Streep playing it just got me chills all over. The lullaby is one of the best music pieces ever written. So intense. The lyrics are great. As well as the whole play. I love Bert Brecht.
