  • Good job . With a good weathering /rust job it won't look like a kids toy any more. Happy Modeling .

  • Very nice model, looks very much like The Cod. How did you make the decals?

  • I have this kit in the stash.I'll be modeling the USS Cobia.

  • Nicely done! I have this kit in my closet calling my name. I'm going to build it as USS Pogy (ss 266) after which my boat was named. I think I'll go dig it out now...

  • impressive

  • the first song is karma comelion by culture club

  • I'm going to build one soon when I'm in hospital, what colours do you use? This will be my first submarine I've done and I have no idea what colours to us

  • @titch6399 I used satin black and battleship grey

  • the first song is Culture Club - Karma Chameleon

  • this sonbg is Culture Club - Karma Chameleon

  • i like the first song first

  • this is a good song thou whyturn it off

  • I built mine as the USS Cavalla which isn't to far from where I live so I got some good reference.

  • I am trying to build this model as USS Trigger. SS237. Lost in 1945 by Jap depth charge attack. Can you tell me how you painted this?

  • nice :)

  • I built mine as the Uss Barb cause it was based here in Scotland after it was built for about a year, only differance is the captain put the main gun behind the tower so he could fire at any destroyers chasing him.

  • ive built mine and chosen it to be the USS Barb as it was based here in Scotland for almost a year before going on to the Pacific

  • That is very kind of you!! However, the site will not allow my email address to be posted!

    any suggestions??

  • Great Model!!! I was wondering if you could state where you got the decals to represent the USS COD. I am also building this sub, and I would also like to model this boat

  • Thank You for your compliment! I live and volunteer only minutes away from the USS COD. So I took a picture of the actual conning tower and photo shopped it and created my own decal. Its not the best but it worked. If you would like to give me an email address I would be more than happy to email you decal.

  • @amigo diver hello, may i ask of you still have the decals available to email. i find your work to be very well crafted on this submarine. =) if you still have it available i would appreciate any help.

  • Just got that model its sitting beside me waiting to be made, good to see what it looks like properly made up mine will prob be covered in glue smudges lol, would look great with some 1/72 figures on it.

  • Thanks for the comment. Im sure it will look great, just take your time and you"ll do fine. This is the first model i've built in ten years.GOOD LUCK!!

  • very nice boat. i was wondering how much that kit costs. since after visiting the USS Silversides (same class as the USS Cod) in muskegon michigan i been wanting to build one this winter. and also was wondering if your gonna make your sub lake worthy. (would of said sea haha) thanks for the video!

  • I think the model cost around $100. Not seaworthy I donated to the USS COD MUSEUM. Check out my other video that was actually taken under the waterline on the real uss cod. just search USS COD underwater on you tube

  • What company produced the kit?

  • This is a 1/72 scale gato from revell. If your local hobbie shop does not have it they can order it.

  • Very well made the music is also good.

How long did it take you to make?

  • I have about 50 hours in this model! music was kind of an accident, wife was playing it in the background and I wasn't thinking.
