They are C or U channel aluminium frames.

alternatively, try using super glue. But you have to be real good in making the beams flush with the concrete floor and walls.

Excellent ..any suggestions for temporary walls of similar type to partiton a living room in order to make a small bedroom for privacy.

Other types of walls may not look presentable. Even if you use plywood, you will need to nail them to the floor, ceiling and wall for support.
