Hey, there are not brothers. Not even from the same family. Walker Brothers is only the name they used to call themselves as a trio. Guess Scott is really Walker ( not sure) but John's full name is John Maus. And the drummer was called Gary Leeds. Good memories of them. Lovely guys.
He seemed to harmonise very well with Scott. But as a lead singer not the answer. But good on JOHN for recognising the strength of his career. I wish Scott could see it too!
I saw him at his Drifting & Tilting show at The Barbican two weeks ago - awesome! And he was visibly seen to be enjoying himself at the mixing desk!!!
60's) in Oxford last year. Those performing with John were Wayne Fontana, The Dakotas (minus Billy J. Kramer), The Mind Benders and The Searchers. Great show. All us olduns rocking in the aisles. Gantastic. John started a bit shaky, but got better as dhe went along. Although he was good, he will never be as good as his brother Scott.
"A lot better" than the original???......Take off the rose coloured hearing device....the tune is barely recognizable.,,, I thought all the croaking was coming from the original guy, Scott Walker, for a second and was relieved to realize it is not.
OH--WOW--ok,this is just a mere snippet--but it's enough to get me all excited ready for December here when I go to see him "live" on tour--all thanks to someone so very wonderful who knows what makes me happy----Thank you for this posting,"Sue2710"--and thank you,J for sending me this--How I just LOVE anything by "The Walker Brothers",together or individually--so soulful and heart-rending---xxxxxx--K

This guy should hook up with the Doors and do some combination Walker Brothers/Doors tunes, he could be a Jim Morrisson twin I think.

Maybe Scott should go and take singing lessons from John now!?
Scott has become painful to listen too, while John has mellowed and is far more listenable.
